Don't forget that only one out of twelve jurors needs to have reasonable doubt on this in order to have a hung jury. I'm not in the business on making predictions on jury verdicts, but if forced to bet, I'd say the DA overcharged. But maybe he did so on a "political" basis to prevent more rioting, IDK. Shame it's come to this.
One thing I have to ask those who have shown support for Kyle and contempt for the rioters: Are you living in "solid majority" blue states, and if so, why? I'm talking Minnesota, Illinois, Oregon, New York, California, etc.. Why are you paying taxes to local governments you do not support, and probably loathe, who work against your own interests? Wouldn't it make more sense to move to a state whose residents you deem more in line with your own ideologies, and would have less regret in supporting with your time, labor and resources? The only reason these places can exist is because people with resources live there. I say, take away those resources, if possible, by moving your businesses or taking your retirement assets elsewhere - especially targeted to those who live in large Blue cities like Chicago. St. Louis, and NYC - leave and let them compete to become the next Detroit. Small town America would love to have you back.
