He was also a convicted criminal. It was not legal (and a federal felony) for him to be in possession of a firearm. Moreso when he is using it in the commission of a criminal act.
That's a pretty amusing argument since Rittenhouse was also illegally carrying his weapon.
Come on people. This "Communist" stuff is simply absurd. There are certainly a few involved but the vast majority are mild socialist at the most. They are out to go toward Scandinavia not Russia.
And he was trying to defend against a potential killer. And he had a lot more right on his side than did Kyle.

He admitted his intention was to murder the teenager that he knew was running to the cops. What he did was attempted murder and he has no legal justification for his actions.
WHOLLY incorrect. Those engaged in a felony are liable for all violations in the progress of their felony - including the homicides committed by victims fighting back. If you claim that "protesters" who burn, loot, and create mayhem are innocent, YOU are an accessory after the fact.
That the DA is not prosecuting the real criminals, only highlights that this is a COVERT GOVERNMENT OPERATION to create the excuse for the imposition of MARTIAL LAW, followed by confiscation of firearms "for our own safety."
The prosecutor disagrees with you. The criminal complaint says "Grosskreutz then moves towards the defendant who aims his gun at Grosskreutz and shoots him, firing 1 shot."
That's a vast over-simplification obviously because it omits the fact that Grosskreutz had his hands up. Technically, Grosskreutz did advance before that. And Rittenhouse did shoot him. So the prosecutor is correct, but as anyone can see from the video, it's not the entire story. Grosskreutz's lawyer will have a field day with that video.
It's right there in the video. You don't believe your own eyes?
I don't want to quibble with you. I see Grosskreutz moving forward to the right. You see him running away when he's shot. Maybe at the trial the prosecutor will switch to how you see it.

Also, sure, I'm well aware of the malicious prosecution attempt, but anyone with a brain knows that it is going to fail and your communist comrade had better be ready to catch a case once that happens. He's got no valid defense for his actions and he already admitted his intention was to murder the kid.
