If true, that is not surprising to me. Given what I have read of their histories, I can't imagine they would get all fired up (no pun intended) about any possible justice that does not affect them personally. (I could be wrong about that, of course.)

Sequestering does get complicated, staying in a hotel room with no TV and newspapers for the duration not to mention leaving your family. That surely reduces the jury pool.

Using deadly force against a skate boarder bashing a kid with a skateboard, that is definitely up to the jury. If I was on the jury the kids was clearly justified in shooting.
