I try not to post. What I think is of concern to anyone but me. However, I can not keep reading about the doubt that a skate board can cause serious damage or even death. Yeah.....DEATH.
The average total weight of a skateboard is 11 lbs. It is constructed of layers of wood for the deck and then there are the trucks and wheels. The trucks are attached to the underside of the deck and are made from metal. The trucks are made from, titanium, magnesium or aluminum. The wheels are made from plastic urethane. Street boards use harder wheels. If Huber was a skateboarder, instead of just scooting around on one, he certainly had a board that could weigh as much as 11 - 12 lbs.
We don't know how much force Huber used to hit Rittenhouse. Was Huber a weight lifter? Did he pitch ball? Was he wimpy? We don't know. Now add in the adrenaline. Combine that unknown force with gravity, and the weight of the skateboard and you are looking at a potentially lethal weapon.
When my boys were seriously into skateboarding I took them to Vans in Potomac Mills. There was a boy who was hit in the head by his own skateboard. He missed the landing at the top of the half-pipe. With the weight of the skateboard and gravity alone he got a fractured skull and traumatic brain injury.
Just one example of what can happen when one gets hit in the head with a skateboard.
A little honest knowledge about this subject is sorely needed.
Katie Pavlich made a good point the other night, that bears screaming into that idiot prosecutor's face - almost twice as many people are murdered by bare hands than rifles OF ALL TYPES every year.
Slashing and blunt melee weapons (each with their own category) outnumber rifle (all types) homicide by a factor of 5:1 in both cases.
Point being, you can end a life with your bare hands, a blunt object (like a skateboard), or all sorts of other ways other than a semiautomatic sporting rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO.
Most intelligent people already implicitly understand this.
According the the FBI statistics hands, fists, and feet are responsible for 2.5- 3 times as many deaths as rifles every year.
I think there might be cause for sanctioning for questioning KR on why he remained silent during the last year, a tactic which appeared to be intentional to tank the case so he could retry it later.
As for disbarment, I don't know if he's done anything to warrant that, I was more or less making a joke about the hair.
If disbarment came as a result of shady dealings during trials, there would be few attorneys left.
He didn't ask why he was remaining silent. He said "Since August 25th this is the first time you have told your side of the story". While he was right at the line as the Judge said didn't really cross it.
The other one was arguing over that CVS video Binger was smart he reminded the jury about it and they are not sequestered they go home every night. Maybe some will go look that video up online or ask their family about it who knows.

Thirty percent more. More than four times more murders are done with knives than with AR-15 "assault weapons". But also, to speak to ADA Thomas Binger's very foolish argument, AR-15s are used in a third fewer murders than bare fists. Blunt objects, such as skateboards, are used in about the same number of murders as AR-15s.
You wanna know what type of weapon is used in most murders overall? It's the type which Gaige Grosskreutz carried (illegally).
From 2015- 2019 FBI stats 2.5-3 times as many are killed by hands, fists, and feet than by rifles- any kind of rifle.
