Just wondering if someone tried to tackle a school shooter and was then shot would the shooter be a hero to you folks?
Better analogy. High school kids start a fire in a trashcan, the police officer on duty at the school uses a fire extinguisher to put it out. Angry kids, armed with brick and guns converge on the officer. The officer hears shots fired as people chase the officer thru the halls, screaming "get him," "kick his ass." Some people tackle the officer, start kicking and hitting him and trying to grab his pistol from him, and you know the rest, three kids are shot.
I've known cops, soldiers, and marines that likely wouldn't have handled themselves as well as the kid did in that situation.... there's really nothing to criticize other than the fact he should have put down 2 more of them but didn't get good enough shots to do the trick. Completely understandable though.
The key point is, Rittenhouse retreated whenever he had the chance to. He ran from his attackers, and only stopped when one of them grabbed his weapon, or when he tripped and they jumped on him.
Watch the videos at the end. The last man to be shot, raised both his hands in a gesture of submission and non aggression, and Rittenhouse still retreated, by moving the muzzle of his weapon away from him. But then the man lunged at Rittenhouse with his pistol aimed at his head. It was only after retreating, and once again being attacked, that Rittenhouse fired his rifle.
Rittenhouse handled himself better than most people would. He had the presence of mind to hold fire and only defend his life, when there was no other recourse available to him.
You clearly didn't watch the video. The kid handled himself like a pro. Looks like he was quite proficient with his gun against 3 thugs. Bravo young man!!!
If he handled himself well he wouldn't have been in that situation to begin with, many others with guns but only one person had the need to fire. Now why do you suppose he was in that situation.

Cool. Show is proof that “many others with guns....” are being chased and attacked by a mob?

How many of these others were attacked?
If Rosenbaum had not attacked him then no one would have been shot. You cannot blame Rittenhouse for Rosenbaum's actions. Rosenbaum was the one who had instigated things. Do you also blame a rape victim for being raped, or do you blame the rapist.
He was 17 and crossed state lines idiot. What would anyone praise or excuse his behavior.
The TOS prohibits personal attacks on this forum, and name calling is considered a personal attack. In the future, please refrain from such behavior.
As for “crossing state lines,” I know exactly where Antioch and Kenosha are located. Rittenhouse travelled less than twenty miles to the town where he works. You may as well be arguing that someone who lives in St. Louis has no right to defend himself if visiting East St. Louis because there is a river in between.
What it comes down to is that Rittenhouse did not break the principle of non aggression but was the target of aggression by those who ended up shot. Again, play stupid games (like assaulting someone carrying an AR), win stupid prizes (like a bullet and a one way trip to the afterlife).

Only one person was attacked.....ask yourself why the pedophile attacked the minor when he saw him all by himself.....Let's face it, he had a history of attacking minors when they were caught all by themselves.
Fortunately, this one was armed and capable of defending himself so the pedophile will never get a chance to attack anyone ever again.
Again, its just hard for me to get over the fact that police can break into innocent peoples house anytime and kill them with impunity.
what are you blabbing on about?
