The Democratic mayor of Portland, Oregon, said Sunday it is President Donald Trump who "created the hate" in an unyielding attack on the White House following a shooting at a protest that left one person dead.

Speaking at a news conference, Mayor Ted Wheeler asked, "Do you seriously wonder, Mr. President, why this is the first time in decades that America has seen this level of violence?"

"It's you who have created the hate and the division. It's you who have not found a way to say the names of Black people killed by police officers even as people in law enforcement have. And it's you who claimed that White supremacists are good people," he continued. "Your campaign of fear is as anti-democratic as anything you've done to create hate and vitriol in our beautiful country."

Isn’t it Trump who wants to send troops in to quell the riots? It seems Democrats are the ones that want it to continue

Weren’t Democrats dismissing all riots as “peaceful protests” recently? Weren’t they even egging them on?

Maybe he got cracked in the skull by a pipe wielding blm/antifa type and he's going vegetative?

That's all I can come up with.

It seems Democrats think cities and states are under the direct control of the President. They must think there are no mayors or governors, at least with any real power to get anything done. The truth is the mayors and governors are responsible for local government and need to step up and handle it and take responsibility for their failures.

Democrats can’t blame Trump; a weak argument. Democratic officials who won’t gain back control of their cities are essentially pro violence.

The Democratic officials in these cities with riots have forgotten we have a justice system that can handle these cases versus rioting and looting.

There were hundreds of cars with TRUMP flags driving through Portland and people in these care were firing their weapons at everything that moved, and Trump egged them on by calling them "true patriots". So, yea, lets not pretend Trump has nothing to do with anything.

How can a president continuously claim to have nothing to do with the State Of The Union of the country he is the president of?

I assume the mayor is a democrat

I think Trump should declare martial law at this point, and send in the ground forces.

So you are saying people have no personal responsibility and can blame their actions on anyone else? IOW you are fine with people having no self control.

Paintball is hardly a weapon. You sound like a mommy telling a kid you can put an eye out with that.

what?! The only thing "fired" was pepper spray to get these swarming rioters from blocking their cars instead of peacefully protesting and allowing the caravan to go on it's merry way.
