Oh, no. I am sorry. They DO represent Democrats. They funnel HUGE donations to Democrat candidates.

I know that Obama wanted a transformation to Communist Marxism. BLM founders are trained Marxists Communists that want to destroy the nuclear family. They want chaos. the Weather Undergrown https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_Underground was a Communist organization in the 1970's and the founder Bill Ayers is a friend of Obama's.

I am asking you because you are perpetuating the narrative that when a white person is rude to a black person, that is racial. When a black person is rude to a white person, you are saying that isn’t racial. There is a double standard which you are pushing.

Every race has its share of racists, not just the whites.
No. I went to the person who made the statement - Rachel. There is nothing unfair about asking her because she made the statement. If I asked YOU why Rachel made the statement, then that would be unfair because you are not Rachel. You don’t represent her.

You asked me about Michelle Obama and now Oprah. Why? Am I either of those people?

The only person perpetuating a narrative here is you but you are trying to project your narrative on other people. I never said that when a white person is rude to a black person, it’s racial. Neither did I say that when a black person is rude to a white person, it’s not racial. Where did you get that? You made it up.

Who said other so-called races don’t have racists? No one.

If that’s how you think, then fine. But stop trying to push your mindset on other people.

You are missing what people are saying.

People *were* sympathetic. People *did* agree that the situation was not right. And now, because of BLM, people have lost their sympathy for the movement and have no desire to try to reconcile with blacks. Your statement that this country deserves what we are now seeing is part of the problem. The division is worse than ever.
No, you’re not getting what I am saying. If you all lost sympathy that quickly, imagine who many generational black people must feel then.

No one said the country deserves anything. You keep putting words in people’s mouths. I stated that the country is reaping what it has sown. Cause and effect.

Why did Michelle Obama attribute this to race? Why didn't she think the other woman was having a bad day or not feeilng well or was just clueless? Not everything is race related, but Michelle Obama doesn't know that. The former First Lady further fueled racial division in this country with her comments.

Do you not see that the race blaming is coming first and foremost from blacks? Every time something happens it's because "they're white and racist." EVERYTHING is about race to them.

I honestly don't know any white people who walk around everyday where their primary thought is their whiteness. That how it seems to be for some black people, though. It must be exhausting.
Per the bolded --- Back in the 70s, when I was in college, I noticed that the black students were mostly militant types. When it was time for dinner in the cafeteria, a group of them would just walk to the head of the line and force their way ahead of others who were waiting. When I would mention that to others, they would say that people were afraid to speak up about it. There were black students who were very nice and would befriend white people. Many would even say that if the militant ones caught them doing that, they would catch h*ll for it.

It surprised me to see that type of behavior. For the first 10 years of my schooling, my family lived in predominately white racist town. So, I never saw a black kid in any of my classes. Even though there was a family in our neighborhood, their kids weren't in the same grade I was. I've mentioned before how my parents took great pains to make sure us kids didn't know we were part black as they feared the repercussions.

My last 2 years of schooling, my family had moved. We went to classes with black kids. Everybody got along and also socialized with one another. Thus, when I went to college and saw all that militancy I was taken aback.

And, now, we're seeing similar behaviors occurring. The other day it dawned on me that nothing has really changed. BLM is now the militant group that's trying to bully others into doing what BLM wants. Apparently, no one sees history repeating itself. If they had been aware, they would have seen that by taking a militant stance and attempting to bully others actually makes things worse.

My sympathy waned after the first outbreak of violence in a Seattle protest. Since then with that continuing, the CHOP takeover, Portland and other violent incidents I have become disgusted with the whole thing. I participated in a few Vietnam War protests as a teen and young adult, so I know that you can express your 1st amendment rights without destruction of property. Even then, with thousands of lives lost daily in the war, we didn't protest every day for weeks.

I've long since come to accept that there's not a lot I can personally do about the issue in this country, other than trying to live without bias. I can sympathize with the victims, but I don't always agree with the proposed solutions. Sometimes the fix can be worse than the problem. I do think that DJT hasn't helped the situation though, and his disagreeableness has likely made things worse.

BLM and notAntifa has done more to hurt the black community than any LEO. The unrest, the rise in violence, it's all hurting one race. We have criminals now that seem to be challenging the police, like it's a dare, just to see what is happening. Crime in our inner cities is skyrocketing. Perception is dropping , and support for police rising.

The best thing the black community could do , is distance themselves from BLM.

The unceasing riots show that we are much further along the road to losing America outright. I knew we were heading in this direction and I've seen the clear decline since the mid-1990s.

Before Obama's election, the Democrats were destroying America slowly and incrementally, winning constantly at a slow steady rate to turn America into a socialist totalitarian system.

Everything accelerated under Obama. We flew Left much faster than I thought I would ever see in my lifetime. Two things resulted. First, the Democrats got a lot of what the wanted. Second, by doing so they woke up a lot of moderates to their totalitarian socialist plan. This created a backlash.

President Trump is the end product of the backlash resulting from the Obama years.

President Trump's election has now caused the Democrats and their socialist allies and supporters to go "all in". They hope to collapse the system with a constant state of conflict.

Of course, the result of this will be President Trump's guranteed re-election as more people fear where we are heading under the Democrats. But the polarized chasm between the Marxist Left and the Conservative right is widening and the result is getting messier and more violent. When the right has had enough and decides to counter violence with violence, things are really going to go to hell and spin out of control.

So I haven't really changed. I have been expecting this, but it has come 20 years sooner than I assumed it would.

One thing has changed. I am far less likely to vacation in urban centers for the foreseeble future than before. I am far mor likely to vacation in small towns, parks, and out of the way places than before. I may neve decide to vacation in New York City again, or Chicago, or Philadelphia, or Boston. This really sucks , because I love big city fun and amenities and action, and I was really looking forward to seeing all these cities.

tl:dr

The only way BLM has changed me is I no longer plan to vacation in urban centers. I love big city fun and amenities. I had planned my retirement travel to do a lot in New York City, Chicago, Boston, Philly, and many other beautiful, historic big cities with lots to see and do. I no longer will risk visiting those areas. Maybe if I see a sustained low crime and violence over say, a 5 year period.

So I will not be vacationing in big cities for the next 5 years while I re-evaluate. I will stick to small towns, parks, small resorts, more out of the way vacations.

That really sucks as I love the action and entertainment in big cities, but I refuse to take the risk and I refuse to support them at this time.
