California's population is still growing...people still want to move there...real estate prices wouldn't be so astronomical if it was a failed state...
Places like Mississippi, West Virginia...those are failed states that nobody wants to move to.

Errrr........you might want to research a bit more. From Bloomberg

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...est-since-1900

"Overall 135,600 more people left California than came, the data shows. That was down from 0.23% growth the year before, also a century-long low."

But on the other side of that coin, failed states do have an estimated $3 trillion budget deficit looming. Just sayin'......

Funny how CA supporters always mention the budget surplus, but never the debt.......would you buy my business if I had money in the bank...without checking my debt load...?

The migration into red states as been happening for years. The entire west coast has been heavily populated with ultra liberal Californians with big money. Jacking up the cost of housing as they come, overnight. As a result, the west coast is now unaffordable to most Americans.

From what I have read, the population of California continues to 'grow', despite assertions otherwise.

Perhaps the growth is not as great as before, but more moving in, than out.

Who really cares. Its not 1993 when they really were leaving and the place was imploding. Numbers don't tell the whole story by retirees moving to a cheap state.
