It’s a “shoot the messenger” mentality. If the news is not favorable to your side, well it must be fake or slanted. Can’t possibly be that your side is actually wrong.

Usually news channels report the news and not on stupid conspiracy theories. Obviously there are exceptions (Fox News).

As Whimsy notes, reality has a liberal bias. I think most who complain about a liberal bias these days are upset that the media does not cater to non college educated who ignore facts that don't fit certain ideological, political, and religious molds.
Is the media biased against Trump because most of its stories are about his lies and corruption? Um, no. Trump is in fact a corrupt liar - as even Fox News used to attest to back in 2015-16 before he secured the Republican nomination. The only media sources not reporting the facts about his lies and corruption are horribly biased in favor of him.
Likewise, was the media biased for not covering Obama's supposed lies and corruption? Um, no. Obama was in fact a very straight shooter who ran one of the cleanest administrations in decades. Those outlets who reported otherwise were horribly biased.

The media isn't reporting it because it's not true, cp. Even the person who wrote the story was embarrassed to put his name on it. It's a ridiculous piece of flim flammery that only fools those who don't care about evidence whatsoever when it comes to "news" items that suit their presupposed narratives.

They should lose their liability protections then. Only neutral platforms get that protection, and you cant be a neutral platform when you allow the unsubstantiated stories about 1 party through, while blocking the unsubstantiated stories of the other party.
It's like we woke up and were suddenly in Iran or communist China. Twitter and FB definitely should lose their liability protections over this, and then they are done. Let some ACTUAL neutral platforms sprout up in their place. I don't want to live in a country where our President is decided FOR us instead of BY us.
Republicans live in an alternative reality. When I was in church we called it the "Biblical worldview." It's an entire reality built around a narrative of America as a Christian nation, the Bible as the infallible, inerrant word of God that is not to be questioned, strictly enforced hierarchies based on class, gender, and race are necessary to preserve society and they are under attack by liberals, and a belief that we are literally living in the end times and are nearing the second coming of Christ. Any news source that doesn't align with that "Biblical worldview" is considered biased and leftist because that narrative is considered an unquestionable truth.

The story of Hunter Biden's laptop scandal hits. Two days later Biden walks out of an ice cream shop. What was the hard hitting question they asked Biden? What flavor of ice cream did he get? Have the media ever asked Trump anything like that? What about Obama? The big story was where he had lunch.
The bias is outrageous and it is a threat to our democracy.
