It’s almost futile to have to tell someone this since they’ve obviously decided to bury their head in the sand for their own benefit or just willing to align with a group to follow like sheep and not have to think or reason on their own. It’s been going on for almost 4 years now!

Love your accurate response You can not possibly be serious.

Journalism is one of those fields that tend to attract liberals. Then you have j schools that are very liberal.

Who thinks Fox is biased against Trump and Republicans?

Do you think CNN is biased against him?

Poor choice of words. No, to escape bias in the cable news channels against Trump and Republicans, simply put it on Fox News.

If you are questioning if the media is biased, you have to answer two questions:

1. What is the media? Is the media independent fact finding journalists in the thick of it chasing the next breakthrough story? No, the media is large companies with bottom lines to meet. We all know that print media was especially hit hard by the internet and is struggling to survive. How does the media make money? Advertising. The more clicks, the better. The more outrageous drama (just look at cable news) the more money they make. So, I would say that the media isn't the media of 30 years ago, it is a money making network where what they care about is simply making money.

The second question is:

2. what are journalists? Journalists are employed or contracted by large media companies. They will only get paid if they produce the product that the company wants. Job interviews weed out any room for conflicting content. Who determines what the product is? Look no further than the board of directors or other top management (who they are, who they are married to, who they donate to) to see how decisions are made.

Fox has many anti Trump Leftists on staff as well as guests. Fox is a very, very small percentage of Media of which at least 95% has a Leftist bias. If you don't see that you are so left leaning you're blind or you are just being dishonest with yourself and others.

Sure there is bias, MSNBC and FOX being the worst offenders (excluding the fringe conspiracy sites like InfoWars, Breitbart, etc) , but to refer to the media as whole as "enemy of the state", and "fake news media" like Trump routinely does is a pathetic attempt to silence critics and free press.

There is a problem with offering 24/7 coverage. There simply aren't enough news, so they fill the time with discussions and political opinion panels.

The media has shifted in how it perceives itself. It used to be more even handed, and left the moral conclusions up to the reader. Now, they are taking on a role of moral arbiter, and strive for 'moral clarity.' This has intensified since Trump, but has existed for some time. This dovetails with the left's woke religiosity, with journalists filling the void left by the clergy in our increasingly secularized culture.

Not only does the media have a side, they also have a mission. This is problematic, not just to 'republicans.'

There is an interesting piece on this shift in Reason (I'm not a huge fan of Reason, but they have some good pieces now and then):

https://reason.com/2020/06/24/journa...eople-immoral/

I don't want to be preached at by journalists. I don't want them to have a mission. That's the bias I object to, and I think most people should be concerned about that.

The right sees what the left does not, because the right is often the target of the media's mission. Liberals who end up getting canceled or fired eventually see the bias as well.

Look at the logos in the background- there’s fox, cbs, abc & nbc.

Anchors from all the news, and all saying at one point “this is extremely dangerous for our democracy “.. they’re right about that!

This isn’t a red/blue, Democrat/Republican issue.. its not Fox News vs CNN..

This is a money issue - those with money buying the government that benefits them - using the “free” press as a tool to push whatever narrative distracts from the money buying influence.

If the plebs ever unite, there’s going to be issues for those who have been looting and pillaging our country in real ways. The people looting Nordstrom’s, even with moving trucks, couldn’t steal as much as the ruling caste has in the past decade - under both “red” and “blue” leadership.
