Top Trump administration officials pressured the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to narrow its COVID-19 testing recommendations to exclude asymptomatic people, according to a New York Times report on Wednesday.
The Times cited two federal health officials who said the new rule was imposed by top White House officials, with one saying the CDC didn't write the new guidelines.
Coronavirus testing czar Adm. Brett Giroir admitted members of the White House coronavirus task force had been involved in setting the new guidance, but stressed the involvement of the CDC's director, Dr. Robert Redfield. Giroir denied that the move was politically motivated.
Well, there you go. I knew it had to be something like this for the CDC to do a complete 180 reversal on covid testing. Not surprising that the story about covid deaths came out shortly after. This is classic Trump again trying to get us to distrust an american institution. Putin must be ecstatic.

My ex is a nurse. They had an elderly patient that smoked, had 2 damaged heart valves, arteries and heart were clogged up with plaque. Died from heart issues and tested positive for Covid-19.....cause of death = Covid-19 on the report.
Also, we believe that Covid-19 went through us at work in early march, lots of people were out sick with a cough, aches, tiredness, loss of taste, some trended towards pneumonia type symptoms coughing up lots of stuff. We wanted to get tested for antibodies to see if we'd truly had Covid or not, but have been told "that's not a priority".

I get pressured all the time at work. Does that mean they are corrupt ? Putting pressure on others get's things done. Provided those under pressure are strong enough to deal with it.
