As a matter of fact, his entire campaign is built on that argument, and even your thread title proves it.
Absurd? Yes, but his followers buy it. No one stops to wonder why the chaos and mayhem is happening in Trump's America and he has not been able to do anything about it. If he has the solutions, then what has he been waiting for, and what is he waiting for now?
The State Of The Union is what it is (pure chaos) and yes, most people hold the president accountable even when he himself refuses to assume any responsibility. Johnson was held accountable, and he fell on his sword like a man.
Can Republican mayors put a stop to skyrocketing murders in places like Tulsa, Miami and Fort Worth? If its as easy as you suggest, then they are they allowing it to happen? Why aren't you holding them to the same standard?
Of course the local leaders would be more willing to work with someone who is not treating them like enemies by insulting and threatening them. Its not rocket science. Sit down with people, treat them with respect and they will follow the lead. Getting people to follow your lead is.......leadership. Trump doesn't get it, and therefore he has zero leadership skills.
If the local leaders weren't so hell bent on playing politics as the overriding priority, they might actually be willing to work with Donald Trump. Instead, when he offers to help, they tell him to f-ck off. When he finds a way to intervene within the bounds of the Constitution, they start mindlessly screaming, "Nazi!!!! Fascist!!! ORANGE MAN BAD!!!!!"
If Democrats weren't so mindlessly partisan, it wouldn't matter what letter sits next to the name of the President. They would accept help when they need it. They wouldn't behave like completely irrational morons. They'd put the lives and rights of their constituents above their political party.
If the riots continue past the election and Joe Biden wins, I'll make a gentleman's wager with you. Things will get worse and not better. Joe Biden's handlers will find themselves trapped in an impossible situation. They can't stand up to the mob because the mob is a huge chunk of their voter base. They will have to give in, pacify an coddle the insane mob. Police departments will get smaller and smaller. Crime will escalate. Anarchy and chaos will escalate. Everything gets worse and worse if Biden wins.

I don’t oppose many of the issues they support, but I oppose the organization. They can protest, but I do not believe burning and looting and rioting is a constitutional right and apparently they think it’s reparations.
And yet, not a single Republican run city makes it into the top 20 cities for homicide rate. Why do you suppose that is??

Every time I see Biden and other democrats speak, this seems to be the message they are sending.
They try to hide it with thinly veiled finger pointing at Trump, blaming it on his "divisiveness", or saying that Biden will have a "calming effect".
But any way you slice it, these prominent democrats are saying that democrats will continue rioting, looting, and burning, until the people elect who they DEMAND we elect.
Democratic mayors COULD put a stop to all this. Police are standing down. National guard are not being called in. Lawlessness is being tolerated by democrats until the election, and maybe even after the election depending on who wins.
Is this really the precedent we want to set? If a democrat becomes president, should republicans go out rioting, looting, and burning down cities until another republican is elected? Do we really want this to be the new normal? Have we become a 3rd world country?

I thought I was pretty clear who "they" are, when I named "Biden and other democrats". "Biden" meaning Biden, and "other democrats" meaning some in government, and just about every left leaning talking head on TV.
So Trump is responsible for all the dems, BLM, and ANTIFA burning down cities?
