No, we should enlarge our nave to exceed theirs, but quantitatively and qualitatively. Geopolitically, the US is essentially an island. We need to control the sea routes we use to trade with other nations, and be able to use the oceans to project power. We need the top navy to do this.

The size of their Navy means little to us though. And we DEFINITELY shouldn’t enlarge our Navy to match theirs.

Well, shortly after the Ukraine disarming their nukes, Russia marched in to Ukraine, while Obama & Biden sat on their hands failing to keep their promise to protect Ukraine. Why? $$$ Ukraine's ex-President stole $1B from Ukraine, then vanished, later to be seen living in...Russia! Obama lives in a $18M mansion in Martha's Vinyard. Biden's family is wildly wealthy. Just follow the money trail.
Under the terms of the agreement, the nukes belong to Russia, the declared Soviet successor state, the nukes never belonged to Ukraine, and they sent back to Russia.

There was no promises to protect Ukraine, Ukraine and the US have no military alliance.

All internal issues.

You would like China to interfere with the US gov and local entities killings of civilians? I mean there are massive protests here about it, imagine China sending troops in or taking some sort of sanctions actions?

Their largest Navy is in terms of how many ships they state they have, which could be something as simple as a barge, lol (if you want some examples, look how the US Navy was classifying things as "ships" during Reagan's 600 ship Navy build up).

Additionally China has no projection of power.

But you know more about China than our Department of Defense...
I agree with this. China is a threat, but one even more so than the Soviets were. China is using soft power to leverage itself in the world, something the Soviets never could understand. Its military strength does not have to beat the US, NATO, nor anyone, just has to defend itself and make an attack economically devastating to the country(s) who launched it.

China is basically trying to mimic what the US has been doing for decades and all through the Cold War.

A lot of China's Navy is antiquated, but they are catching up quickly in many ways.

Germany turning against China is a surprise for me. Until recently they have been a supporter of the CCP and stayed silent on China's dishonesty about the Wuhan virus and human right abuses in China. Now they openly criticize the CCP on Ughur concentration camps and trade imbalances.

China’s Navy designed to support their human trafficking and slavery. Nice country.
