and you wonder why right wingers are regarded as war mongerers.
It's your friends in the CCP that has built the largest navy. Would you consider them warmongers also?
Or would you say, they build for defense? While they bully their neighbors and steal territory from them as well.
BTW, I hear the PLA got their arses handed to them by the Indian army again a couple nights ago when they tried to sneak across the LAC, like cowards in the dark. Now some Chinese territory is actually in Indian hands.
Things can, and may get very interesting, very fast. People, here in the USA, and everywhere need to pay attention to what is happening in obscure places, where the chi coms are pushing the limits. A spark in the wrong place can ignite something very, very, large.

Pentagon Report: China Now Has World’s Largest Navy as Beijing Expands Military Influence
Why should we believe we're the only nation allowed a strong military? Given how many others we've invaded for no good reason, I'd say they have good reason to want a strong defense.
2nd grade tactics like name calling seem to be a popular comeback here. it's a sign of immaturity or an inability to have intelligent debate.
I'm still awaiting delivery of proof. You said I was lying, and were going to create a whole new thread about it.
Where is the defense of the CCP you promised? Or do you have an "inability" to provide it? Maybe because I'm actually telling the truth about the CCP.......
I would also remind you, you are the one that called me a "trained seal", while you speak of name calling.

Its weird how all of you think Chinas building rafts, or that we dominate the tech area of this. Youre sort of right...but also...vastly wrong.
China has started to install railguns on some of their destroyers. Probably guided. This is a truly capable platform. And unlike here in the US their military industrial complex isnt making a massive profit margin like we do here. One of our recent naval guns was designed to rapidly fire some truly advanced guided rounds...except the cost of each round was INSANE. over 800,000 PER ROUND. The navy estimated the production cost at 400K....per round. When initially cost estimated Lockheed Martin gave a estimate of 50K per round. https://www.popularmechanics.com/mil...too-expensive/
I bet Chinas rounds cost them less then 5K each.
The average age of all of their equipment is much lower then ours, and the cost is vastly lower.
And if we ave a conflict with them they are going to have it in their backyard, where supply lines are short. Military leaders study tactics, great military leaders study logistics. And they will have a immense logistical advantage.
Don't underestimate them. Theyr'e probably doing the same to us, making conflict vastly more likely. And due to folks thinking that they have the advantage, its going to go on far longer then is reasonable.
It will take China a while to build up her carrier fleet, but they are doing it methodically. We are loosing ground now in our naval readiness. The GAO just released a dismal report on fleet readiness and repairs; 75% of sub and carrier repairs are late, with subs taking over 200 days over schedule; that means we have ships which are at sea which can't get maintenance.
Lack of readiness, exhausted crews (100 work weeks) deteriorating ships and equipment are the norm. We have a navy 1/9th the size of the fleet in WW2, but with more admirals than they had then and when you count reserve admirals we have almost one admiral for every ship. We have canceled all war games yet Russia just finished their largest naval exercise since the USSR fell right off the coast of Alaska. The replacement of the Arleigh Burkes has been back and forth and now is on hold even though they are reaching and some have reached their expected hull life.
It is now suspected that the fire on the Bonhomme Richard was arson. That doesn't bode well for security or moral if it was a sailor.

Sounds like a plea to increase our already bloated military budget.
