This is misleading. It's not like they are encouraging abortions at 9 months. They simply do not favor putting an arbitrary deadline on it and instead believe that medical professionals and patients should be trusted to make the best decision. Abortions are not done "up to birth." Late abortions are rare, cost thousands of dollars and are done for serious medical conditions.

As you know, there is no medical condition of the mother that requires the killing of her viable child (late term) to resolve her condition. A C-section will do the same thing.

Roe v. Wade put arbitrary deadlines of 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester.
