I am referring to the soldiers of the Great Generation, the combat veterans of WWII and Korea, who are mostly in their graves or in their final decade of life. These are the veterans that I knew well, and they are the veterans that Trump can openly despise, for one simple reason. They are not a voting bloc that he needs to worry about any more.

These individuals would want nothing to do with either party in their current configuration.
