Sadly a lot of people will accept it. It was amazing to see how quickly and easily people not only got on board with everything but also how angry people got at anyone even questioning things.

Most probably feel it’s temporary. Not realizing there is really no end goal in sight and even with a vaccine, governors can still keep the restrictions going using a line like “as long as we can prevent just one death we still need to wear masks, distance etc”

Today smog is one reason, but it is also done to prevent the spread of disease.

There never should have been a lock down for 99.9% of the population. The masks don't do jack all, so we should never have been mandated to wear them anywhere. (No one who isn't medical personnel is wearing an N95 mask - so they're all walking around like idiots believing in a false reality.)

If masks don't do any good at all, why should medical personnel have to wear them?

Wearing masks during surgery is not te smar as mandating mask wearing in all public places permanently

Not “scared to death” but after months of wearing one inside public spaces for 6 months, it does not bother me one bit. So yes, in the future during cold and flu season I will continue wearing a mask. If I get one less cold per year it will be well worth it to me. And the fact that some folks will inevitably be annoyed by my continued mask wearing does amuse me.

I thought “everyone” had to wear masks for them to be really effective or has that changed now?

What happened since 9/11 seems to be a new Permanent normal, the real ID act had been postponed again and again though the real reason is to nudge states into compliance, its been postponed again due to COVID19. Though the main point is to force as many states into submission of federalizing individual state DMV info, the feds already have plenty of forms of Real ID accessible to all citizens as well as the green card for non citizens.

Good. They can just keep on wearing them and stay home and let those of us who have lives live like the real people we are.
