All the immigrants I've met from Central America and Mexico work harder than most Americans I know.
What utter racist nonsense! "Immigrants"? Did you mean illegal aliens who allow themselves to be exploited for fear of being reported and deported? When you're under the gun it's easy to appear to be hard working. No one has the right to break the law and get away with it by being hard working anyway!

Why do you jump straight to assuming they’re illegal? Since we’re laying down the racist card and all.
After all, the refugees we’re supposed to be discussing here are granted legal status, and that’s still problematic.

Facts and stats shows the whole picture, anecdotal evidence is anecdotal. How can people make a judgment of millions of people based on the 100 or so they know?
Oh, stop with this blame the U.S. crap! I'm sick of that excuse for immoral people to violate our immigration laws and borders.
Actions have consequences.

You just have to talk about Obama...
But goes further back than that.
And no. trumps relatively harmless, but he’s king of the morons.

And illegal actions have reactions. When is Mexico and Central America going to get their acts together and start improving their own countries? And no, the U.S. is not stopping them from doing it.
There are so many great stories of refugees in the USA, Canada, Europe -- who fled horrific conditions and were able to become better educated, start their own business.
They are uplifting stories and worth checking out.
But I'm not sure that was the intent of this thread.
These people are desperate fearing for their lives, they don’t just hop on a plane they spend years in camps being screened and they don’t even know what country will be their destination. Why is anyone bringing this up we aren’t accepting refugees from Asia.
Certainly some of them are in that situation. But there are thousands more who simply jump on the bandwagon and claim "refugee status" even though nobody is trying to kill them. They just have a very hard life, lack of food and shelter etc., and see a chance to make it to the U.S. by mixing in with the genuine refugees you described.
Their life is certainly hard. But hey, 3/4 of the world has that problem. Should we grant all of them, "refugee" status? A difficult life is not sufficient justification for "refugee" status.
