"China’s diplomats were already having a terrible year in Europe, but this week they managed to make it even worse. At this rate, Chinese President Xi Jinping may achieve the dubious feat of alienating the Europeans faster and further than even U.S. President Donald Trump is doing."
It looks like Donald Trump is not the worst at foreign diplomacy. Europe is coming to their senses realizing that the PRC/CCP is far worse than Donald Trump. Long live the west.
White men will never tolerate a stronger China (or any non Western Nation).
Human nature.
Article doesn’t point out anything racial.
The Chinese want to dominate. Like they’re doing in Hong Kong. Like they want to do with Taiwan. Like they do with their state owned/bank rolled companies buying up US/EU companies and technology.
The idiot sent to smooth things over before their upcoming talks got puffy over Taiwan, and the Europeans checked him.
The US should join the UK with offering the people of Hong Kong a new home.
Trump launched an attack on China, not the other way round.
The US still owes China trillions of dollars. Imagine you borrow money from someone and then attack him all the time.
There is no way China would be in the position it is in today without US money, industrial and business development and sharing of prosperity. China was literally starving before our corporations went there en mass to undercut US worker wages. The US owes China nothing and it should consider itself lucky to receive interest payments on the debt from time to time.

The Chinese have overplayed their hand. They are apparently too arrogant to realize that now they need to start behaving with a reasonable amount of humility. But it is not clear that they have any.

.
How do we owe money to the people we kept from starving? Is suppose to be the other way around. China should owe USA. Who came out and made such a deal is the worst negotiator in history.

And every American person who bought Chinese made products enabled the Chinese standard of living to rise.
When I mentioned that to a friend in 1992, it had never entered her mind.
And every American corporation who sold their souls to the devil for cheap labor, while giving the Chinese their
company secrets to contributed to it.
Meanwhile, we are still depending on the Chinese for medical supplies.
So they are in a position to own us as soon as the finish buying up half the countries in Africa.
