It is a real statistically significant phenomenon. Single and double wides dwellers are most likely to plant a Trump banner in their front yards, at least in my corner of Ohio. But why?

Not only Trump does not have anything in common with single wide demographics, he does not represent single wide dwellers interests in any way, shape or form, he does not care about them to throw a bone (it is not like Trump can care about any group) and without shred of a doubt he despises the kind of economically unsuccessful people residing in the singlewides. Not only that. Trump and republicans by his side work tiressly to take away whatever little safety net singlewide residents can count on. Obamacare expansion hurts genuine middle class but it is a lifesaver for single wides residents at no or little cost. Trade war with China to protect IP of large corporations to make outsourcing risk free and thus cheaper should not excite single wide dwellers either. Ostentatious war on illegal immigration? Not only illegal immigrants do not compete with physically and mentally messed up native residents residing in single wides, frequently they take care of them. High paying manufacturing jobs Trump promised? Even if Trump kept this promise, in a parallel reality, most single wide residents can only qualify for mind, body and soul killing manufacturing routine jobs paying less than Walmart wages. Jeez many folks reside in single wides because they busted their health in those lines of work to begin with. So what's the appeal?

Even people down on their luck aspire to improve their situation. They know that can't happen under Kamala Harris.

They may be poor, but it doesn't mean they are stupid.

Why were there so many Obama stickers/posters in the poor inner city areas? He had nothing in common with poor folks and didn't do anything to benefit them. Also I'd rather live in a double or single wide than some dump section 8 apartment complex.

The appeal? The notion that their financially tenuous existence is only temporary. Besides, their situation isn’t really their fault. It’s the fault of illegals, minorities taking their jobs because of Affirmative Action, and the liberals who, adding insult to injury, wanna take their guns, raise their taxes (that they don’t pay in the first place), belittle their belief in God, and shove homosexuality down their throats.

And that’s not even taking the recent civil unrest into account. All these protests and anger at their beloved police (who these people don’t like either BTW, but I digress) can’t be left to Biden to deal with. Only Donald Trump is equipped to deal with such weighty matters in the opinion of these people. Of course, this point completely ignores the fact that Trump has not and cannot do anything about it except make it worse.

But hey, it’s a free country I guess. I’m more than happy to let these folks believe what they want to believe. They think Trump is a man of the common people. Why bother to disabuse them of such notions?

Absolutely, single wide dwellers subconsciously believe that Trump will beam his wealth building secrets directly to them. It is just too bad his secret is not so secret and it involves screwing people just like them. American plutocracy planted an idea in the lower class minds that they are just a few seconds away from moving up the ladder and thus class struggles are for losers. This simple idea does miracle as far as cost effective social control but at the same time it a poison that sooner or later will transform this country into something that even Hollywood will not be able to sell.

There weren’t “so many” Obama stickers and posters in poor inner city areas. You’re making that up. For one, you wouldn’t have went into any “poor inner city“ areas to even see what stickers and posters they had up. So you wouldn’t know. Obama had little to no reason to spend such resources in ANY inner city in this country, let alone a poor part of an inner city.

Moreover, a lot of people who live in dumpy trailers do so because Section 8 or public housing isn’t available in their areas in any abundance. And let’s not act as if you can’t use Section 8 to live in a trailer.

Yes there were "so many" you can still see them. I go through poor inner city areas regularly so yes I would know. There are still little pop up tents advertising obama phones next to pop ups selling face masks with a bunch of brand names on them and now also "cant breath" and "blm".

Well orange is the new black! Trump's new official 2020 campaign slogan. Should be a winner.
