This thread simply enforces the belief that the liberals support violence: looting, burning and killing of innocent people to include children, and comparing it to the Boston Tea Party doesn't even deserve a response because of the insanity involved in that comparison!
Sadly, those doing these CRIMINAL acts are simply reinforcing stereotypes.
Per the article and note this was just as of June 22:
"As of June 22, 2020, police have made 14,000 arrests in 49 cities since the protests began, with most arrests being locals charged with low-level offenses such as violating curfews or blocking roadways.[3] As of June 29, 2020, at least 15 people have died during the protests.[128][129][130] The Los Angeles Police Department announced that "homicides went up 250% and victims shot went up 56%" from May 31 to June 6.[131] Several protests over Floyd's death, including one in Chicago,[132] turned into riots.[133] On May 29, 2020, civil rights leader Andrew Young stated that riots, violence, and looting "hurt the cause instead of helping it".[134] George Floyd's family has denounced the violent protests.[135]"
Note that Andrew Young, civil rights leader, actually understands why these riots are not a good thing.
"The Boston Tea Party was organized and carried out by a group of Patriots led by Samuel Adams known as the Sons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty were made up of males from all walks of colonial society, and among its membership were artisans, craftsmen, business owners, tradesmen, apprentices, and common laborers who organized to defend their rights, and to protest and undermine British rule. Famous Boston Patriots who were members of the Sons of Liberty included John Adams, John Hancock, James Otis, Josiah Quincy, Paul Revere, and Dr. Joseph Warren. Incited by the Sons of Liberty, over 5,000 people gathered at the Old South Meeting House, the largest public building in Boston at the time, at 10:00 AM on December 16, 1773, to decide what was to be done about the tea and to plan the Boston Tea Party."
So initiating force against others is patriotic? You realize that is the same bile spewed by politicians since the dawn of time to justify murder, rape and theft. Somehow or another, there is some noble ideal that just totally justifies initiating force against innocents because...well...REASONS!!
All initiations of force are morally and logically wrong. Period. There is no justification for initiating force, ever.
PS - using the "patriot" ideal means gaining approval of a tyrant at some future point. If my initiation against an innocent is judged useful to the winning side later on down the road, that makes me a "patriot." Yeah...that sounds moral and proper...sure it does.
And then when the wind blows a different way, those violent 'revolutionaries,' once called 'patriots' end up on the other side of the gun.
"We thought we could change something
We helped them win
We changed the slogans
We get hunted again
When you're the fighter
You're the politicians tool
When you're the fighter
You're everybody's fool"
Oooh... this is clever stuff -- a way to appeal for tolerance of BLM thuggery and bash American heritage at the same time.
So... historical riots, vandalism, even torture have sometimes been linked with good outcomes. Therefore rioting and violence against individuals and property today should be tolerated. So what if BLM burns buildings and bashes heads with bricks, that's the American way, right?
Im not sure what you are trying to say...if it wasnt for people arming themselves and resorting to violence during the American Revolution, we would likely be under English rule today.
Its interesting that plenty of good and decent people living in those days, thought the 'historical American patriots' were nothing more than rabble rousers and criminals! If England had won that war...those people would have went down in history as traitors, criminals, 'domestic terrorists'.
If today's Republicans were around at the Boston Tea Party, they would probably be going "Oh, could you not protest like that? You're destroying property."
"Oh, could you not chant things so loudly in my neighborhood? The British don't like it."
The real "patriots" (i.e. ones with common sense) are out fighting against police brutality and white supremacy.

Disagree. If I had lived during the 50's-60's, I would have lit quite a few diners on fire. No "colored" people at the counter? Well, I'll burn that counter to the ground.
Oh please. The rioting has been so overblown by the media & the right wingers. It's all they focus on. Meanwhile there has been peaceful protests in over 2,400 locations. A lot of the business owners who had property vandalized have spoken up & said they can replace their windows, goods, etc but you can't replace lives murdered by police.
Their report states that more than 2,400 locations reported peaceful protests, while fewer than 220 reported “violent demonstrations.”
Riots have only occurred in 220 American cities. So overblown!
Are you insane?
