“I’m going to hold company executives personally liable for interfering with workers who are attempting to unionize. It’s not enough just to have their corporations pay a fine. If they’re part of the problem, they are going to pay a personal price,” Biden said.

Fairly brazen attempt at pandering by Joe Biden during an AFL-CIO webstream. This is not quite Hot Sauce Hillary-level pandering, but it's really close.

A bit ironic, too, since Biden has been in full support of NAFTA and China's entry into the WTO, which has cost millions of US citizens their jobs.

Biden has trouble thinking...and responding live. I almost feel sorry for him. I wonder if he's going to develop a fake Southern accent, like Hot Sauce Gal?

You mean Biden promises to uphold barely enforced laws on the books? What a shame. Outrageous.

If people want to unionize then companies should let them. Democrats have always been pro union because people in unions are the middle class. Republicans hate unions and just want to destroy them.

I'm not buying it. I doubt he will stand up to someone like Bezos. I also doubt Bezos' WaPo would be trying so hard to elect a guy that would bring unions to Amazon.

Not all companies need a union and not all people want to be forced to pay dues for services they feel aren't being provided.

I worked 27 years for a company. No Union, our Pay and Benefits were better than the factories in the area that were Unionized. The last thing I wanted was to fork over money to an org that protects lazy slackers with the same zeal they would performers. I also had no desire to work in an environment where seniority means more than skill, drive and work ethic.

The company I worked for had sister plants that were Union. I hated being sent to them for initiatives or product roll outs. They had the attitude of we get paid the same run or not. No sense of pride, no drive, no team work. At least not want I am used to in our Non-Union plant.

I was able to promote, able to advance at my own pace. Not the pace of the more senior person ahead of me.

And one of the biggest forces for keeping American jobs in America is... UNIONS!

Unions regularly secure & protect jobs from offshoring as part of the labor negotiations.
