It's an election year, and for some insane reason, they think that by supporting BLM, antifa, not condemning their violence, and calling for defunding the police will give them an election win in Nov.

1) Defund the police. They are a consequence, not a solution.
2) Move those funds back into ailing communities to decrease the amount of crime that comes out of them. It's called "root-cause analysis" for a reason. Rightists have difficulty with this one.
3) Demilitarize the police. Stop any program giving them leftover Army goodies. American citizens need to stop being treated like a hostile, foreign force. It tends to p*ss them the f*ck off.
4) Provide more healthcare workers during calls. Police are not equipped to handle mentally ill people, as seen from the multitude of people they've killed.
5) Update police education and training. No more blood chokes. No more repeatedly punching someone in the head. Act like a human being, even if the person you're trying to subdue isn't. The U.S. needs to join first-world nations on that front.
6) Increase community policing. I'll find the article, but there was a police force in the northeast that started doing this more and the results were amazingly positive. Change is slow, painful, and necessary.
7) Task the F.B.I. and D.H.S. with coming up with solutions to combat the increase in white supremacist propaganda and the ties that police forces have with white supremacist groups. Having white supremacists infiltrate your organization is a fantastic way to completely discredit it in the eyes of your community.
8) Start the long, painful road of rebuilding systems that have inherent racial bias built in.
