What a bunch of nonsense. We are closing in on 200,000 COVID deaths in this country. Many smart people do not feel comfortable going to a crowded poll to vote. It has nothing to do with being lazy and everything to do with staying safe.

More than 500,000 mail ballots were rejected in the primaries. That could make the difference in battleground states this fall.

It should be obvious by now that there are MASSIVE FLAWS with voting by mail, flaws so big that they could easily swing national elections. Why on Earth would anyone in their right mind favor voting by mail?
There is only one reason.

A certain political party feels that they will be able to alter the results through mail fraud.
* Ballots going to dead people
* People voting twice (in person and then also by mail)
* Boxes of ballots "found" at last minute in someone's back seat

And so forth.

But yet these same people get themselves to the grocery store.

Lets not forget the biggest election scam in US history happened right here in Washington state with mail in voting...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_W...orial_election

GOP candidate wins on the first recount... and the 2nd recount... but only with the 3rd "hand recount" did the Dems discover boxes and boxes of uncounted ballots in the trunks of people's cars to give the Democrat the win by 129 votes out of nearly 2,750,000 votes cast.

New in 2020! Declaring your party affiliation on the OUTSIDE of your ballot envelope!

https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/news...ce/4836691002/

https://crosscut.com/2020/03/your-vo...ty-thats-wrong

Nothing can go wrong they said! It's to ease the counting of ballots they said!

Leftism at work! To hell with voter privacy!

P.S.

If you can go to the grocery store you can go to the voting booth. I would... but unfortunately mail voting is how it's done in Washington state.

It's going to take years to untangle the mess of the 2020 election. Even one person not getting their requested ballot should be a scandal. Thousands of people aren't getting them. Even one ballot being sent out to a dead person should be a scandal. Thousands are going out. They're even sending ballots out for dead cats, underage children and people that don't even exist.

Change takes time to do properly. Suddenly changing the entire election process from almost entirely in-person voting with a tiny handful of mail-in ballots to majority mail-in ballots is a massive change. The USPS can't reliably deliver much of anything. It would take years to clean out the mess sufficient for mail-in voting to be a secure and accurate.

The experts have come right out and said, "Do X, Y and Z and voting in person will be just as safe as staying home." The only reason to push such a broken system is because you want to cheat like there's no tomorrow. The Postal Service union has endorsed Joe Biden, so we already know whose side they're on. I fully anticipate both parties will assume the other one is cheating and that they will cheat like mad to try and counter cheating on the other side, and may the best cheater win. Only a Ronald Reagan 1984 landslide victory for Biden or Trump will prevent this from being the most controversial election since Andrew Jackson had his apparent victory stolen by John Quincy Adams in 1824.

Only nine states are mailing ballots to registered voters, and five of those states were already doing this before the pandemic. All of the states have measures in place to prevent voter fraud. Those safety measures were on display during the primaries when large numbers of mail-in ballots were rejected. The signature match alone leads to many ballots being rejected. Personally, the large number of rejections concern me, as I think the states should notify anyone whose ballot is rejected, and tell them why. In some cases I think those rejections should have a repeal process so that a voter can contest the rejection. But I realize that such a process would delay the count of ballots and that is problematic as well.
and therein lies the rub.

Imagine some system that REJECTS perfectly valid ballots based on some interpretation of a signature. An unexpected and unintended but obvious side-effect.

So we would take all these rejected ballots, that may be mailed in Nov 2-3, and then sift through them. Then some time to notify the voter and gain acknowledgement. And then ... let them vote again? By mail under a "I can't come cause COVID"? Then how long do you wait?

How many dead cats, underage children and non-existent people are registered voters?

BALLOTS go to registered voters.

The problem as I see it is that states tried to implement exclusively mail-in voting under a tight schedule. It's not that easy to do, and adds risk to the process. In the states where it is already implemented though, it works very well. The official in charge of this (WA) state's process stated that the states really needed to begin implementation back in April to be successful.

Oh can we now. Really? I am not very impressed with how cities are acting during the pandemic. Can't wait for the election day and the week following. Better arm yourself and have plenty of food. I don't think "we can wait", is going to be the theme.
