UGH,,, Ok I like Trump so I guess that makes me a deplorable because I have the same reverence for America as he does.
Would it had made any difference if Trump had come out at the very start to tell everyone how deadly the virus could be?
Trump screaming from the roof tops that the virus was deadly would have made no difference just like this "bombshell" book won't. YAWN..

If a disaster is coming, people will find out, regardless if you lie to them or not. If you know what is comeing, the smart thing to do is prepare for it the best you can, not ignore it.
Lying and ignoring it, especially because you think it will make you look bad, has got to be the worst thing a president of the U.S. Has ever done. It will go down in history as just that.

If Trump somehow after all this wins in November. He will be throw out before his next swearing in. Regardless he is toast.
Dereliction of duty, incompetence, self-preservation of political office......makes his Ukraine extortion/bribery attempt (and impeachment) pale in comparison.

Trump can kill a child on 5th avenue in the middle of the day with 10 cameras recording it and will not be found guilty. So keep dreaming if you think Trump will be thrown out.
First if he killed someone there is absence of immunity for a U.S. President's unofficial acts was established both in the Nixon Administration and later in the Clinton Administration. Remember Paula Jones and Clinton. Trump could be dragged into court for murder.
But this is even better. Clearly he was not doing his duty as president. Lying to Americans when he admitted he knew differently.
Actually it would be the perfect move for the GOP in congress. Trump wins reelection and then he is impeached and thrown out of office. Pence is POTUS the next 4 years. One of the hesitations of the senate GOP for impeachment conviction was essentially handing the white house to the Democrats. In this case that would not be a problem.
Hard core Trumpers would not be fine with. But the GOP senators are not hard core Trumpers.
Regardless they got the tape. I still cannot believe Trump was this stupid to say what he said on tape.
