So say Covid was going to be like the Spanish flu when it ended up not being?
To lock us all down until the “vaccine”?
No, but if he had told the public the danger and mandated testing, social distancing contact tracing and masks I don't think we would be in the mess we are in today.

How many people do you test? Everyone? Remember most don’t show symptoms. Mass testing everyone including people with zero symptoms does nothing but cause more panic
The WHO and Fauci said masks were not needed in the beginning
Hospitalizations are going down massively. Fact is the pandemic is pretty much over but is continuing for political purposes
Trump screwed up the pandemic response. And to put a cherry on top decided it was a good idea to go on the record with Bob Woodward who already wrote a critical book about Trump. Woodward, a liberal who was most certainly not going to do Trump any favors. And not only go on the record but allow Woodward to record him. Admitting he intentionally mislead the American people. What on earth was Trump thinking?
But what is interesting is that Biden a private citizen had more accurate responsible advice on the pandemic than Trump with all the power of the presidency did.
I believe that Trump had a hunch that covid-19 would fizzle out by April and if he could just keep people believing that they would get past this. It was all about keeping the economy going for his reelection. And instead of listening to Fauci and other experts in the White House he listened to some quack out there who said the virus would be gone by April.
For Trump's hunch thousands needlessly died.
Biden does have more leadership and government experience, so leading a country through a pandemic would be something he could do much better than Trump. He was VP during H1N1, SARS, MERS, ebola. He knew about the flu pandemic playbook and even encouraged Trump to adopt some of the strategies outlined in the document.
Even if Trump is entirely incapable of leadership, which we know to be the case, the very least he could do is be honest with Americans. Trump didn’t even have the decency for that.
He's damned if he does, damned if he don't. He's being chastised for downplaying it so mass hysteria doesn't break out. If he didn't downplay it and mass hysteria did break out, y'all would still be here complaining.
I would love to see how some of you who are so critical would handle situations that a sitting POTUS does. With the media all over every move you make.
oh yes, don't forget about the song and dance about Stupid discovering the cure for cancer, that's always a hoot

Why create mass panic over a virus with a 99% recovery rate?

Sure Trump could have maybe done some things better, But let’s be honest. Nothing other than permanent, perpetual lockdowns would make the left feeL “safe”
'Play it down': Trump admits to concealing the true threat of coronavirus
Is this anything like our New York hep cat (you know, the one who sent contagious, infected people to the homes of the most vulnerable) who told everyone to party hardy and ignore the virus, lest ye be xenophobic?
