Whatever happened to traditional Halloween costumes, like skeletons and ghosts? Why does everything have to make some sort of political statement?

That's easy, especially if you're white, rip some clothes, dye your hair a bizarre color, do some drugs and you're good to go.

You could double down on a whacko leftist rioter costume (BLM and Pantifa) by wearing red lacey panties outside of black jeans.

I was thinking that people could just carry around an empty large screen TV box with the words "Bread" written in large letters on it.

Who are these people to tell us what we can wear or not, because it's too offensive?

I stopped at one.

Halloween is a time where anyone can be offended, usually it's ultra religious folks but lately....oh wait....hmmm....the extremely PC folks are also ultra-religious, they just don't have a diety but they act the exact same way.

I grew up in a small town, I should know, the religious right and the far left have soooo much more in common than either will ever know....they justify it differently and look down on the other too. Lol.
Only 1 click to the rest.

Most were in poor taste. IE dont dress as Covid or the twin towers on fire.

Exactly. The only costumes I don't care for are political ones, regardless of party and/or person. I used to love Halloween, it was my favorite annual activity when I was a kid. It was this way because it was non-political for the most part. I'd like it to stay non-political. But that's just me. I hope Halloween wouldn't become a political statement for some. Something I can enjoy without the politics.
