He just had to wait long enough that you would forget, that you have already been bent out of shape over this back April 7th, when Trump announced it word for word at a Press Briefing.

Oh wait, you weren't?

While Trump trumpets his ban of China: remember this......tens of thousands of travelers made it through before ban, spreading the disease.

430,000 People Have Traveled From China to U.S. Since Coronavirus Surfaced
There were 1,300 direct flights to 17 cities before President Trump’s travel restrictions. Since then, nearly 40,000 Americans and other authorized travelers have made the trip, some this past week and many with spotty screening.

US corona cases are overwhelmingly based on the European strains of the virus, though.

I have no idea why so many people are outraged about Woodward's book in any way. Trump didn't tell him anything that we didn't already know. We knew in January the virus was deadly and it was contagious, it was no secret. That's precisely why Trump shut down travel from China. Why else would he do that if the virus wasn't deadly and contagious? Trump was given all kinds of crap for making that call and called a racist for it.

You'd have to be pretty low IQ also if you didn't know he was intentionally downplaying it so people wouldn't panic. People panicked anyway, how else do you explain the crazy panic buying of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The store shelves were wiped clean for weeks, some things are still rationed to this day and good luck trying to find a can of Lysol spray. I haven't found any since early February. Considering people panicked even with his downplaying, can you imagine what it would have been like if he hadn't downplayed it? This selective outrage is getting so old.

Press brought it up over and over and Trump slammed them as bad reporters. His base blamed the fake news. 20 March conference advance to 1:40 on the clip. Woodward would have gotten the same response from Trump's base like he is today. Fake news. Bad reporter. PS Woodward is book author, not president. He didn't take any oath to support and defend and look after the welfare of the citizens of the United States.

Well, IF Woodward's a disgrace, I'd say a case can be made for Trump being guilty of treason for his own failure to act.

Fauci and Birx did it even earlier. We knew everything Trump told Woodward back in late January. We knew it was deadly and we knew it was contagious. There was nothing secret about it.

The only panic he was worried about happening was a panic on the market or in the economy, which happened anyway. He was worried, bottom line, about his election chances. Period.

They also warned about the severity of the virus during the March 31 press briefing.

Sounds like you were listening to Trumps press conference today, because he also question if what he said was so bad, why didn't Bob Woodward call the authorities. So, he pretty much passed the blame to Woodward. Trump is the president, and the American people are not going to buy his poor excuse.

You call Bob Woodward a disgrace, but nobody made Trump give Woodward 18 different interviews. This was the second book Woodward have done on Trump and he wasn't happy with the first book, he call it lies. Then he gives the man another chance, knowing he is being recorded. But he can't call this time around a lie, because it's in his own words. Who really is a disgrace in this case.
