SALT was a reliable cost of living adjustment to federal taxes. The states that want SALT are unsurprisingly the states getting fleeced by the federal government's unbalanced distribution of federal tax dollars back to the states. SALT shouldn't have been removed and over the long run it is going to create more problems and imbalances.
It is. I read on several sources, quoted they want to give undocumented and TEIN individuals a PREVIOUS 1200 for previous stimulus, and the new 1200 stimulus.

I'm good with that as long as we start taxing lower and middle income families more. It's ridiculous that 50% of the tax base pays zero federal income tax (in many cases getting far more back) and yet are eligible to receive government benefits. It doesn't have to be a lot, even 5% would be a huge boon to federal income.

I think your average Democrat (not the current Antifa BLM anti-Semitic Dems who control Biden) must be dealing with some serious cognitive dissonance. They want this to be the party of unions, high taxes and a nanny state to tell them how to live, but instead they’re getting actual socialism, Israel (ie, Jew) hatred, hateful BLM and more. It’s gotta be tough to be a normal Dem, if there are indeed any left.
As for the same dynamic with Republicans, we have a nutty man leading the party, but his policies are all right down the exact middle and easy to stomach by all Americans not blinded by their unexplainable hatred of the man behind the policies.
If Americans could just focus on policy and not the cult of personality, this would be a landslide Trump victory in two months. But no, this election just comes down to Orange Man hatred, policy be damned.
