And yeah - what if the UAE turns around and goes back to funding the Palestinians...what will happen with this agreement?

What will Israel's recourse be? and would Trump's administration do anything. Trump was not inclined to turn away UAE's money for military machinery...would he really do anything if UAE does breach the agreement or is caught cheating.

The details are important right?

You care right?
What if the Palestinians decide that the gig is up and start migrating out of Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, into Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, etc., and just concede control of that region to the Israelis?

What if?

It might make sense for Jared Kushner to receive a Nobel Peace Prize for his role in this as well.

If he’s so damn good at diplomacy, then let’s see him make THIS country into a sea of tranquility and peace. Start at home. No one cares whether or not Israel and the UAE gets along or tears each other’s heads off. That’s on the very bottom of my priority list.

If Trump wants credit, fix what’s tangible right here in the United States.
Answer me one question.

If it was Barack Obama that brokered the exact same deal, would you give him credit?

Newt Gingrich, who I imagine you would agree is a very intelligent man, said that Jared was key in bringing about this deal. A Nobel Prize might very well be in his future, and deservedly so.

Do you remember their response when the Navy Seals killed Osama bin Laden? They insisted the "Obama" killed bin Laden, almost as if he had repelled down a rope suspended from an attack helicopter himself, dressed in full attack gear, and pulled the trigger himself.

If Obama had brokered this deal, their response in praise of Obama would have been even beyond all of that.

I consider Carter to be the second-worst president we've ever had, but I gladly give him credit for this magnificent achievement.

Credit (or blame) for a soldier's actions attaches to his commander, so I give Obama credit for taking out Bin Laden, even if he didn't do the actual deed himself. But you're right, if Obama had accomplished what Trump has, regarding the Middle East, his praises would be shouted from the rooftops.

I gave credit to Obama at the time for ordering the killing Osama bin Laden, and I will happily give it again right now. It was the right call and it was an important achievement. But it deserved a similar response to when President Trump gave the order to kill Qassem Soleimani, which was also the right call and an important achievement.

Al Jazeera reports that Saudi Arabia appears to be softening their stance towards Israel and could be positioning itself for a future normalization of relations with Israel as well. Of course once the Saudis normalize relations, it will be easy for any Muslim nations wanting to do the same afterwards.

Israel 'normalisation': Is Saudi Arabia softening its stance?

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the kingdom's de-facto ruler, has promised to promote interfaith dialogue as part of his domestic reform. The prince previously stated that Israelis are entitled to live peacefully on their own land on condition of a peace agreement that assures stability for all sides.

Earlier this year, Mohammed al-Aissa, a former Saudi minister and the general secretary of the Muslim World League, visited Auschwitz. In June, he took part in a conference organised by the American Jewish Committee, where he called for a world without "Islamophobia and anti-Semitism".

"Certainly, MBS is intent on moderating state-sanctioned messages shared by the clerical establishment and part of that will likely work towards justifying any future deal with Israel, which would have seemed unthinkable before," said Neil Quilliam, associate fellow with Chatham House.

Actually the accomplishments of the Osama and Soleimani killings are not comparable at all.
Osama was a has-been. He spent his days hunkered down in a hiding place eating potato chips and watching porn movies. He had no contact with his former al Qaeda minions. He had long ceased masterminding terror attacks.
Soleimani, on the other hand, was at the pinnacle of his murderous career. He controlled and commanded all the Iranian proxy terror armies in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.
So I disagree with you that killing Osama was important, at least in terms of fighting terrorism. It was important only in meting out justice. The killing of Soleimani was a HUGE setback for the terror operations in that region.

Well, from watching Democratic commentators on the cable stations and listening to Democratic leaders, it is CLEAR that they intend to return to the disastrous and failed policies of Obama-Kerry. They describe the historic establishment of relations between Israel and the Arab states as a "betrayal" of the poor Palestinians and a merely a "distraction". These Trump accomplishments will be the last. Support for normalization will come to a quick end. US policy will once again be support of Palestinian maximalism and intransigence. US policy will return to a policy of craven surrender to the Iranian regime and empowerment of that regime.
Appeasing the Palis and Islamists of Iran will require ending support for, and even discouragement of peaceful and productive relations between Israel and the wider Arab world.
From what I hear and see, a Democrat in the Whitehouse will quash further peace and normalization agreements........so, so sad.

For Trump to make America peaceful, he would have to negotiate with terrorists.
