An update from the Willamette valley: Heavy smoke, visibility is still about 1/8 of a mile. Our air is considered "hazardous". Remain indoors, outdoors with masks. We need wind and rain. Humidity is about 40%, which is better then it was.
And even if they're not, they only kill a small percentage of the population. And you can't even trust those numbers - if someone dies of a heart attack while their house is burning down, that death is still counted as a fire death! And even if the deaths are higher, my family is fine - we don't live in or near a forest.
So WHY is it ok to take MY rights, my right to bar-b-que, my right to light fireworks at a gender reveal, my right to ride my quad in the woods? IT'S OPPRESSION. IT'S UNAMERICAN.
I've done my research and you won't change my mind. WAKE UP SHEEPLE.

It's actually a global cabal who are trying to fool the world into believing in climate change by pretending there are massive wildfires and record heat in the western U.S.. They're just small individual blazes, probably started by looters, rioters, and Antifa.

A political party has nothing to do with it. If people were asked to vote to raise a tax to better maintain the state's forests, they would reject it. They would say taxes are already plenty high enough. Use the tax money already coming in for that.

Sooner or later most people are going to have to move out of there. I know most people move there to take delight in the mountain scenery and the beaches not far away as well as the great weather that is seldom too hot or too cold. But it's getting too dangerous to health and physical safety, along with the incredibly high cost of living caused by so many people wanting to live there. And on top of that highly destructive earthquakes could happen any day. I'd sooner take living with the hazard of tornadoes and the warnings that usually come before them, which may only happen a few times a year at most.

Are you serious? I mean really op, you must not had anything better to do today. The West is burning, some people have died, many are still missing, and thousands of homes lost. Why would you call the fires a hoax? Show some empathy toward your fellow American, regardless of their politics, we are human being first. I feel bad for these people and I wish things get better for them soon. Not everything is a hoax, but this waht Trump have done to this country with that word.
