Apparently he was 'leaning in towards Kyle while trying to grab his gun , and doing it all while his back was towards Kyle'. quite talented...i suppose.

Not their job. He was not shooting at random people, who were not attacking him, as he was going down the street. He was also headed towards the police, the very police that were parked right down the street at the end of the block. Lots of police and NG were parked at the end of the block. Everyone including Kyle knew they were there - and Kyle was headed straight towards them.

so Kyle had that AR for the whole night and didn't kill anybody until he decided to shoot Rosenbaum for "no reason" at 11:45PM, right?

That's not what I read. This Rosenbaum guy was chasing Rittenhouse and grabbed his AR-15. Rittenhouse reasonable feared for his life and defended himself. Case closed.

People with law degrees are on the record explaining why you are wrong.

There are links on page 3 of this thread were several lawyers explain the law, and why there is a very good self defense case here. Maybe you should take the time to listen to lawyers, and have an informed opinion.

Doesn't matter if he was illegally armed.

I was involved in a shooting investigation between two gang members when I was a deputy for LA Sheriff. Gang #1 killed gang #2 using an illegally obtained weapon. In addition, gang #1 was a convicted gang member thus making a prohibited possessor. However, the shooting was ruled as self defense. Gang #1 went to prison and NOT for murder. He went to prison for 2 weapon charges (illegally possessor + illegally obtained weapon).

If a deep blue state like CA with draconian-gun law did not send a convicted gangster to prison for self defense, what makes you think a purple'ish state like WI with lax gun law is going to send a teenager to prison for similar crime?

Educate yourself !!! Having an illegal firearm doesn't remover someone's right of self defense !!!

The statement of “Probable Cause” basically makes Kyle’s case for him!

Oh you'd better believe that the weaponization of law enforcement and the justice system on behalf of the Left and against the Right is very real, very blatant and very illegal. But when it's the police and the courts trampling your Constitutional rights, who watches the watchmen??

We're reliving the times before the Civil Rights movement. Same story. Only the players have changed. If you'd said 10 years ago that Conservatives would be hunted and executed in the streets, that district attorneys would selectively prosecute Conservatives for clear-cut self defense and that District Attorneys would refuse to prosecute crimes by violent people on the the Left especially those perpetrated against Conservatives -- people would have called you an insane conspiracy theorist. They'd say you're crazy. Welcome to a conspiracy theory come to life, cuz all of that's actually happening.

It's the same story as the McCloskeys defending their house. It's the same story as Joey Gibson being tried for rioting when all Leftist rioting charges are being instantly dropped. If you ever wanted to know what it was like for black people in the Jim Crow South, you're about to find out because that's where things are heading.

they are criticizing "regulated-militia" defense from Kyle's attorney, not the actual shootings.

If the regulated-militia defense fails in court, Kyle will get convicted for possession of dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
