On Monday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced some good news on the illegal immigration front. A deal had been struck with Guatemala, also involving Mexico and Honduras, wherein they would increase the number of troops and security personnel along their border and frequently used migration routes to stem the flow of migrants heading north. She went on to say that Guatemala had “surged 1,500 police and military personnel” to the border with Honduras as part of this effort. So that’s good news, right? It doesn’t do anything about the crowds currently amassed at the US-Mexico border, but if you can slow down the next wave, that’s better than nothing.
There was only one problem with that story. Guatemalan officials released their own statement yesterday saying that there was no new agreement with the Biden administration and no such agreement had been signed. Further, they moved all of those troops months ago.
It is increasingly clear that whatever Democrats and the Biden administration say is a lie. That's particularly true for the pandemic, the border crisis, the Georgia voting integrity bill, and any police-involved shooting.
So now we’re exporting the welfare dependency overseas. What happens when that $800 million is gone, another $800 million, and another and another?
Probably. Why are Democrats so eager to spend taxpayer money on people who aren't American citizens? It doesn't matter if they're in the U.S. or not, Democrats want to spend money on them. Liberals truly do hate this country and the people who live in it.
But they moved troops months ago, why they do that?
If they can move troops around like that, why not use some of that money to improve the economic situation in their country so people dont need to migrate? Be more profitable in the long run.

We have been sending hundreds of millions of dollars EACH YEAR to them for over 60 years.
They have corrupt governments that pocket the majority of the money we send.

Guatemala's President said they moved troops to the border because the mass caravans started and they wanted to stop the drug trafficking. They were only interested in catching drug smuggling.
