Evidently there are only three women who are claiming that they had surgeries they did not consent to or felt pressured to agree. Once again, a whistleblower filing a complaint based on hearsay. Dale Wooten, who had been demoted from full time in July of this year barely spoke about the most grievous allegations that she made. It appears there are no mass hysterectomies as were initially alleged. None of them had firsthand knowledge. One of three women had cancerous tissue and the doctor recommended the removal, obviously for hope of getting all of the cancer.
That said, the private gynecologist was named – Dr. Mahendra Amin who, in 2015, along with several other doctors, was fined $520,000 for causing false claims to be submitted to Medicare and Medicaid. In post 26 I suspected foul play in billing which may or may not be in play here. Obviously, there needs to be a thorough investigation of medical records and the doctor named in the complaint.

1 - There are doctors that are prone to preform hysterectomies because they truly believe it’s the best, fastest, surest way to treat whatever chronic female problems pop up and doctors at the opposite extreme who won’t do a hysterectomy unless it’s literally that or death. I’ve been on military bases where one of the first things a fellow wife will tell you is to avoid Dr. XYZ because they were hysterectomy happy.
2 - They should have stayed home and gotten their medical treatment there then this won’t be an issue.
3 - News these days use other news stories as their source, so seeing something in multiple places isn’t always a guarantee it’s been verified.

Yes, it just might be a doctor taking advantage of the situation to pad his or her own pockets. Needless to say, if this is occurring, far more oversight is needed.
Right. Hopefully we’ll have more information. A number of news agencies are running the story but haven’t seen many details yet. Maybe these began as emergency procedures and the doctors happen to be terrible. I don’t want to assume the worse but it makes you wonder.
And that is what I despise about the media. Who taught them while they were in school? They never ask the important questions. It's like they listen to someone say something, record it, scribble on their note pad, ask a few lame questions, and then go back to their paper and type out their garbage. We are always left with more questions instead of answers.
It's their JOB to ask all of these questions. (And learn how to spell, learn proper grammar, learn proper sentence structure....which many fail at doing.)
