Just shows why Americans don't have confidence in this whole vaccination development process. Two top people are completely on different wavelengths. I'm going w/ the CDC Director, not the former reality TV host.
Still avoiding the main question eh? Do you want Covid restrictions to become a permanent normal?

This virus isn’t going anywhere, so whatever it takes to keep us ALIVE and enjoying our lives at some capacity is worth restrictions.
I guess I weigh it out: a little inconvenience and pain in the behind vs. DEAD or experiencing life-long side effects.
Yes I’m sure making everyone wear masks in public forever won’t be dehumanizing or uncomfortable. I’m sure it won’t effect children having to wear masks in school all day. I’m sure gyms and indoor dining will be able to do just fine
Your posts are usually pretty good and we agree on more things than not. This is a molehill - not a mountain.
They are clearly setting the stage for wearing masks to become a permanent normal. As in continue forever. Will the people accept it ? Should we put it to a vote?
Since there is currently no proven vaccine, and some sources are saying it may be six months to a year before one is developed, I'd say he's spot on.

A vaccine likely won’t be 100% effective?
So should mask wearing becoming a permanent, mandated normal? And is the endgame to have zero cases? Because that is only possible with perpetual lockdowns
Yeah, two barriers at 3% effectiveness. 6%. Big whoop.
Please post a link to your numbers.

When there is an outbreak, yes. We don't isolate/quarantine against measles unless there is a measles outbreak in our area. Ditto for flu. You do know that schools sometimes close if the flu cases get too high?
MAGA-not....I'm imagining the other countries around the world, many who have this licked pretty well controlled are laughing at our country when we can't even agree if a mask is worthwhile.

At some point most will have had this. Then it's up to the elderly and others at risk to take special precautions. I'm not doing this forever, hell no. I'm not running a marathon wearing a C02 re-breather. Not fishing, hunting or anything with any form of sunshine or air. If you need to protect yourself do it. Private property rules? Fine. Otherwise nope. I've already had it and moving on.
