Robert Redfield, the Director of the Center for Disease Control works for the President of the United States.
Why is he testifying in front of Congress and telling them we won't be getting a vaccine for up to a year? President Trump- who is closer to the situation- is telling everyone the vaccine will be ready by late October.
If you worked in a business and the CEO or President of the company told everything that an important initiative was going to be rolled out by October and you worked for that man, wouldn't it be logical to tell everyone who would listen that the CEO is right, regardless of your personal viewpoint? The CEO is the boss!
Who agrees with me that CDC Director Robert Redfield should be fired for publically disagreeing with his boss?
Because they probably don't feel it's safe yet and the President should not call the shots considering his only other job experience is being a reality TV star.
So in your view Redfield should disregard science and do exactly what Trump, a man who is completely ignorant on the subject, is demanding, regardless of the consequences?
Yeah, that sounds exactly like what a MAGA would say.
THIS, folks, is why we need to excise this cancer in the White House. It can't happen soon enough.

The federal government is not a business and Trump is not the CEO of a business. While many heads of agency are done by presidential appointment, they are not put there to be dishonest or do the absolute bidding of the president. They are there to run an agency (in this case a health organization) that provides scientific support in a bipartisan fashion to the United States as a whole. He absolutely should not be parroting a line that everyone is going to get vaccinated in October when even the dumbest persons should be able to figure out that this is NOT going to happen.
This was the flaw in your post, and I had to stop reading right there.
The Trump God complex.
The belief that anything coming out of the dear leader's piehole is better information than what you would get from talking to an informed expert.
Trump is constantly spewing uninformed verbal sewage and he is definitely not "closer to the situation" in terms of the vaccine development than an educated medical expert like the CDC director.

You have just explained why many MAGAs will never figure it out.
As a front line manager haven't you had to agree with the boss many times even though you knew they were wrong?
If what the boss wanted was going to potentially cost lives, I would hope that manager would do the right thing and refuse to go along with it. You seem to be of the opinion that the consequences don't matter, the boss is always right. Which is a dangerous opinion when there are lives on the line.
What is more, Redfield is the professional with the knowledge and expertise here. His "boss" has no medical training whatsoever. Why should anyone listen to him over the actual medical doctor?

Redfield works for the American people not Trump. His job is to serve us faithfully in accordance with the law and the constitution and not pander to the ignorant nitwit in the White House.
These threads are what makes posting on this subforum a complete waste of time- so misguided OP. But then again, these are the folks he has voting for him. They're very easy to fool.
