I can see it now: Biden and/or Harris appointing Willie Nelson as drug czar. Brilliant!

Well, I've been standing at that "gateway" for 45 years now and never went through. And I know many, many people just like me, who never went beyond weed.

I would support the decriminalization and legalization of marijuana no matter which candidate proposed it, Democrat or Republican. It's long, long overdue.

It did not fail miserably. It lost by about 60,000 votes out of 2.5 million. The law was badly written leaving loopholes that some objected to. I voted against it myself, but see now that the world did not come to an end in states where it is legal. It's back on the ballot this fall and expected to pass along with my vote.

I think that Biden/Harris have the right take on this. Remove MJ from the list of banned drugs. Leave it to states to decide whether to make its sale legal in their boundaries. This does complicate possession though, so maybe it is unworkable.

The one and only reason I am against weed is that horrible smell.
It permeates everywhere.
If they could take away the terrible stench of weed, I would be ok with it becoming legal.
The stench is nauseating.

Well where it is legal it is still illegal in public. Plus smoking it is so outdated. Can get it in edibles, drinks, lip balms, cooking oil, lube, all sorts of things that bypass that concern entirely.

I’m only interested in using it at home, not in public (where it’s still illegal anyway in most cases).

I still smell it frequently from the neighbors on both sides of my property.

Tried talking to them about it? Though obnoxious odors in tight spaces is a common neighbor dispute for a whole lot of things.

They ought to decriminalize cyanide tablets as well because that is what most folks will want to ingest after being subjects to Joe and Commie for any amount of time.
