The Palestinians have obviously made their mistakes in the negotiations, but Trumps's peace plan is the most one-sided, disrespectful proposal in this entire 72 year long conflict. I am Lebanese and Arab and living in America, so I may be biased, but Trump should be rebuked for the "Deal of the Century," not praised. Trump's plan forces them into South African style Apartheid. That is unacceptable. As for the normalization with the Arab countries, Israel made almost no concessions to get the normalization from the UAE and Bahrain. I am not against normalization, but it needs to accompany Israel making much larger concessions. Keep in mind, the US's role is to be the neutral guarantor in the region, not to be so blatantly favoring one side over the other. From the Palestinian perspective, Trump has caused the US to lose all legitimacy as a mediator for a solution in the conflict. Trump has basically made the US abandon the role of neutral mediator that my region needs the US to be right now. He is more concerned about the well being of Israel which is doing just fine right now, compared to my country which is literally collapsing and people fleeing from it in the thousands now.

Let's be frank here, Trump has made the US lose the last shred of legitimacy it had in the region. Another mediator for the negotiations needs to be found. Someone who will respect the needs and of both the Israelis and the Arabs.
The "Palestinians" do not merit to be treated fairly any more. They indiscriminately kill Israelis, and after all the amazing compassion and help they have received from Israel through the years (humanitarian aid, land for no peace, electricity, water...), they are simply ungrateful, hateful little terrorists. Israel simply has no benefit in conceding another inch. Tighten the borders and wish them the best. Problem solved.

Because of him, or because of the constant attacks by the left on him? Me thinks you do not understand the difference between causation and correlation.

It is mystifying. The one solid, capable, able and willing allie in the ME and dems oppose Israel.

In a speech delivered to the UN general assembly today, Saudi Arabia's King Salman called for the Iranian sponsored, Lebanon/Palestinian oriented terror group Hamas to be disarmed:

Quote:
UN General Assembly: Saudi Arabia's King Salman calls for Hezbollah to be disarmed

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's King Salman on Wednesday said Hezbollah must be disarmed for Lebanon to achieve security, stability and prosperity.

The Beirut port blast occurred as a result of Hezbollah’s “hegemony†over the decision-making process in Lebanon by force of arms, he told world leaders at the 75th United Nations General Assembly session, which is being held virtually for the first time.

King Salman also said Hezbollah has disrupted the constitutional state of Lebanon and vowed that the Kingdom would stand with the Lebanese people, particularly after the explosion.
The focus of King Salman's remarks was around Hamas terror activities in Lebanon, but if Hamas is disarmed, they will be rendered incapable of instigating missile and other terrorist attacks against Israel as well.

Also, as BLM/Antifa is the militant/inurrectionist wing of the Democrat left here in the United States, Hezbollah is the terrorist wing of the Iranians in the Middle East, especially in the Israel/Lebanon region of the Middle East. Make no mistake about it, this is the Saudi's initiating a diplomatic offensive against Iran.

But the Palestinians are going to regard this as a setback for their failed and ongoing militant strategy against Israel as well.

Exactly right. These normalization agreements mediated by President Trump have completely reset the prospects and the process for Peace in the Middle East.

And amazingly, Biden and his team think the solution to the ME is forcing the Israelis to concede more land while getting exactly nothing in return. Never again. The "Palestinians" are effectively yesterday's news, of no significant importance to the ME or its peace prospects.

Another normalization deal is apparently going to be announced 'in the next day or two,' according to United States Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft, who was interviewed at the UN general assembly meetings earlier today.

Quote:
US Ambassador to UN: Another normalization accord will come in next days

United States Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft said in an interview with Al-Arabiya Wednesday that another normalization agreement between Israel an an unnamed Arab country will happen in the next day or two.

During the interview, Craft said regarding US intentions on pushing forward Middle East peace in the Arab-Israel conflict that "our plan is to bring more countries...which we will have more being announced very soon..."

When asked how soon by the interviewer, Craft said "well it could be today...there will be one in the next day or two... yes so we are very excited and know that others are going to be following, and what we don't want to do is to not isolate anyone but to bring everyone on board in hopes that this will allow the Iranian citizens to see that people really want peace in the Middle East and they are part of this peace.
This is very exciting and also very good news, not only for Israel and the next nation that they will be normalizing relations with, but also for the Middle East region, and the entire world.

Bahrain and the UAE establishing normal relations with Israel, without Palestinian approval, without the Saudis approval is not living in the ME world view, ME diplomatic paradigm that the Trump administration has established and is continuing to craft is living in unreality. A win by Trump and watch up to a half dozen more countries jump on this train.

First, they want to see continuity in this Trump administration. That only happens with a Trump win, a continuation of a Republican controlled senate and a whittling away at Democratic House control.

Or, better yet, the Republicans winning back the House. Don't rule that out. It can happen.
