1. So when you say "stacked", what you really mean is the senate following the proper process to nominate and elect a new Justice.
2. Of course, and they will get the opportunity to say again that she is very well qualified.
3. The difference in the circumstances is clear and has been pointed out. Ignore reality all you like, but facts don't change because it doesn't suit you.
4. If the shoe were on the Dems foot, they would have already commenced the nomination process. As you know.

Yes, he votes in a tie AFAIK

McConnell just needs to get them to abstain rather than vote no. That would make the margin 50-47 - Nomination confirmed.

Exactly, soon we will all be enjoying our 2nd amendment.

It would, but it would be the only logical response to the new low McConnell has taken us.

Are you sure? A President Biden and a Democratic majority Senate could decide to pack the court. Nothing stopping a president Biden from nominating 2 or 4 liberal justices if he wants to.

McConnell has said yes.

At first I thought Trump should use a delay to get re-elected ("vote for me, or else the Dems will install another communist"), but I think they should probably ram RBG's replacement through.

The Democrats are willing to make America a third world country. So it is imperative to slow down the envy-driven progressive-collectivist agenda by any means necessary. That means getting a conservative justice in place to slow things down should Trump lose the election. The democrats would not stand on ceremony in the same circumstance, they are ruthless. Especially now, literally... This is the time to be 100% hypocritical and do the right thing. Without apology.
