For all those talking about being more successful with less education, here are some hard statistics on salary by education level: https://resources.finalsite.net/imag...edule19-20.pdf As you can see, as education goes up, so does salary.

Keep in mind, smart and educated are two different things. The most successful person i know makes around 5 million a year. He has no degree, is about as uncouth as one can be, a slob, couldn't change a flat tire if his life depended on it but is one of the most generous individuals i know. He'd give you the shirt off his back. While he doesn't have a degree, he can read the markets, and is a hell of a sales person. And is a Trump supporter.

Well of course, degrees make it much easier to land a profitable career. If one wants to become a lawyer or doctor they've got to have a higher education. My neighbor is an anesthesiologist, living in a 3500 sq ft house. Of course he is educated. Funny thing, he's a Trump supporter. And oddly enough, neither my wife, nor i have degrees, yet we life next door to him.

Education and intelligence dont go hand in hand it seems. And these leftist educated types cant tell you the by twixt know knowledge and wisdom.

Hell they dont know the difference twixt level and plumb.
They say they're going to start a revolution but cant even start a lawnmower.

All that education in those top states and the levels of naked ignorance are amazing. College educated idiots. With degrees in African. American history, Same sex family dynamics and such. Courses offered as majors in universities are jaw dropping.
Your understanding of education is obviously a result of what Hannity, Limbaugh, and Fox have told you. The education I know is in depth research and steeped high in sciences, mathematics, and physics.

Will trump build his space force with people riding lawn mowers?

One has to actually study and learn while attending said University. What is learned is used for a professional career. Sorry it didn't work out for you. Perhaps a trade school was a better fit for you. A trade school is also considered education, doesn't have to be a University. I want people to move up off those entry level minimum wage jobs.

You must not have absorbed my whole post which is why you cherry picked me. I really hate that but it is an often used tactic. And ni, I don't watch Hannity and I dint listen to talk radio of any kind.

Everything I touched on in my whole post I have run into first hand face to face. 35 years in a skilled trade. Highly skilled. My screen name doesn't even come close to the whole tamale.

I worked for an outfit for 20 of that 35 years and the upper management of that outfit was all about "higher education." Any college/university degree in anything qualified people to tell guys like me what to do.

People with bachelor degrees in geology, journalism, political science and others that amounted to underwater basket weaving were placed as "engineers."

Others as supervisors and directors. And a whole passel of middle management staff. And they all had titles that bestowed royalty on them.

One memorable time I was told to go meet an "engineer" at a job site. The project was a re pipe of a condensate return line to the DA tank for a large boiler. If you dont know what DA means then you and that "engineer" have something in common.

The line was not a primary but it was still important. And what does this "educated" flipdick say to me after I get there and look it over? (Something he didnt do himself )

He says "Okay figure out how you're going to do it. Then come to my office and let me know and I'll draw it up "

The whole "engineering" department was just like him. His degree was in religious studies from Ogden State. He knew exactly jack $h!+ about boilers and steam systems.

Anything he might have attempted to design would probably have gotten someone killed if installed to his specs. Now, after I left that place and went out on my own I had the privilege of working with some damn fine engineers.

So that helped me not be so jaded. But a saying I learned has stuck with me. "The number of problems on a given project is directly proportionate to the number of engineers assigned."

Facts? How is this study been manipulated to declare people down here less educated? School funding? Standardized test scores? Who says a person coming out of a school in Connecticut is smarter than one coming out of Tennessee? Prove it. I do not believe this horse pucky about northern people being more educated....... absolute garbage.

The media is leftist. The media controls most of these so called studies that create these ridiculous lists. The media has a political motivation to make red states look bad, they wish to feed all the negative stereotypes that have existed for generations. These old stereotypes have served leftists for years. It is much easier to justify steam rolling over our rights when you can just point your finger at us and say.....”those ignorant hillbillies don’t know any better so we will tell them how to live”.

You don’t think we believe all this garbage do you? We don’t. We will be at the polls to stop the socialist agenda in November. This will happen regardless of how educated or not educated you think we are. If you people are so smart then why are you supporting a failed ideology anyway. History has proven the failure of socialism, it doesn’t work. Maybe you should review your 20th century history. Maybe a bit MORE education is needed up there.

Christ rode an ass into Jerusalem. These are reliably powerful and dependable animals. Anger them at your peril. When pulling together they are a force to be reckoned with.

Serious question, though: what is this obsession with people being "educated?" I wish that I didn't have 150,000 dollars in school loan debt. I should have just become a fireman, like everyone else from my neighborhood.
I'm glad to see somebody else here has the wisdom to question this whole paradigm in the first place.
