The behavior during this health crisis show the democrats only want to attack Trump not help the American people. The democrats have hit a new low.

Trump and McConnell are saying, "too bad voters, we will decide this for you, you have no input and no say."

Trump and McConnell have the absolute legal right to seat a justice right now, no doubt about it. The question is what political price will they pay if they go forward with their jam job.

The "voters" have not spoken, that is a poll nothing more.

The Constitution is not contingent on "polls"

Well, unfortunately for you, we don't run the country by polling. Elections have consequences.

Of course you are right the Constitution gives Trump and McConnell the legal right to jam this new justice down the voter's throats. No one questions that. At the same time, they also have the full authority to hold off and wait until after the election.

The decision to push forward with a new justice now is not a question of law, it is a question of choice. The Republicans are choosing to ignore the voters.
You must never watch what has been going on in the House of Representatives the last couple years. Your memory must not go back to when the previous administration weaponized the IRS, the DOJ and more. I guess it's easy to ignore it when the other guy's ox is getting gored.

On Sunday morning, CNN was reporting the opposite; that is, the majority of Americans supported going forth with filling a SCOTUS vacancy regardless of any election.

This is not the CNN poll, but the numbers are almost exact:

That statement would apply to everyone.

The Obama voters in 2012 that got robbed of that opportunity.
The Trump voters in 2016 who benefited from it.
The Trump AND Biden voters in 2020.

You can't say it was ok to deny Obama's nominee even a hearing and then say it is ok to allow Trump's nominee on circumstances even worse than previously (less than 50 days this time vs over 8 months last time).

The voters HAD their say...in 2016...your poll is meaningless.

1) Elections have consequences, "you lost, so it's your turn to find a seat in the back of the bus!" (Obama)

2) Presidential terms are 4 years, not 3 years, 10 months (The U.S. Constitution)

3) Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed in less time (50 days), than her replacement (CNN)

4) If the shoe were on the other foot, the Dems wouldn't think twice, so "do unto others" (the Bible)

If you have any issues with my sources...tough turds...deal with it!
