I'd hardly call it reverence. We have a very vocal BDS movement throughout the country, and some Congresspeople speak poorly of Israel. We also had every single Democrat primary candidate boycott AIPAC. There is a lot of out-and-out hostility toward Israel coming from the left.

Also you say in your OP how people heap endless praise on the Jewish population. That too is not universally true. There is a big rise in antisemitism, and a Jew is more likely to be the victim of a hate crime than is either a Muslim or a Black. It's quite a stretch to say how people heap praise on Jews. Some admire them for positive traits; others are bigots.

1. America and Israel have shared values.
2. Israel is the only free country in the region
3. The US voted for the creation of Israel and therefore is its protector.
4. I would argue that US largest allie is probably Israel.
5. Biblical prophecy, whether you believe in God or not, it unarguable that the Biblical prophecies have right on its creation of Israel.

It has to do with the idiocy of religion and hatred of Arabs.

That’s all. Nothing else.

I believe almost all members of Congress have pledged allegiance to Israel. If you guys recall, when Ilhan Omar refused to pledge it was outside customs.

Or by hard work and innovation, they recovered farmland that was left to neglect for centuries.

Americans favor underdogs, and outnumbered Israelis have prevailed, over and over, against Muslim zealots.

Or that Islam has been at war with the world, and America, making Israel our natural ally.
Remember "to the shores of Tripoli" from the Marine Hymn?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Barbary_War
Islam has been at war with America from Day one.
“We took the liberty to make some enquiries concerning the ground of their pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. The Ambassador [of Tripoli] answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

And for some "strange reason" their union just cannot defeat tiny Israel.

EXTERMINATION OF ISRAEL
(or why the Palestinian demand for “justice” is a sick joke)
Understanding the Arab-Israeli Conflict
“In demanding the return of the Palestinian refugees the Arabs mean their return as masters, not slaves, or to put it more clearly – the intention is the extermination of Israel.”
- Salah al-Din, Egyptian Foreign Minister
(Al-Misri, Egypt, October 11, 1949; quoted in Harris O. Schoenberg, A Mandate for Terror: The United Nations and the PLO [Shapolsky Books, 1989], p. 239)

“If the Jewish state becomes a fact, and this is realized by the Arab peoples, they will drive the Jews who live in their midst into the sea… Even if we are beaten now in Palestine, we will never submit. We will never accept the Jewish state... But for politics, the Egyptian army alone, or volunteers of the Muslim Brotherhood, could have destroyed the Jews.”
- Hassan al-Banna, Muslim Brotherhood founder
(New York Times, August 2, 1948)

“Israel, to the Arab world, is like a cancer to the human body, and the only way of remedy is to uproot it just like a cancer… Had we united then [in 1948] Israel would not have come into existence. Israel is a serious wound in the Arab world body, and we cannot endure the pain of this wound forever. We don’t have the patience to see Israel remain occupying part of Palestine for long… We Arabs total about 50,000,000. Why don’t we sacrifice 10,000,000 of our number to live in pride and self-respect?”
- King Saud of Saudi Arabia
(New York Times, January 10, 1954)
It is a grave insult to Islam for lands once under Muslim control to be transferred to infidels. That is why every thing about Israel and Jerusalem becomes an “outrage” to the Muslims. 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace -- will only occur when the world is Muslim.

LITTLE ISRAEL v GOLIATH ISLAM
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel...tate_of_Israel
On 14 May 1948, the day before the expiration of the British Mandate, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, declared "the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz-Israel, to be known as the State of Israel".

The following day, the armies of four Arab countries—Egypt, Syria, Transjordan and Iraq—entered what had been British Mandatory Palestine, launching the 1948 Arab–Israeli War; Contingents from Yemen, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Sudan joined the war.
(For a total of EIGHT Muslim nations)

Muslims in Israel were admonished to not defend their properties, and depart, lest they shoot other Muslims (or be shot by them). It seemed like a good idea at the time, since everyone thought Israel would be wiped out in two weeks. Didn’t quite work out as they expected.

After the war ended, the Muslim refugees not only demanded to return, but refused to recognize that Israel was the government. What nation would re-admit enemies who refused to acknowledge their authority nor aid in defense?

I think they would, since they are better trained, motivated and equipped than anyone else in the region. They did it before, and they'd do it again if need be.

$13 million per day relieved from our wallets to the State of Israel's wallet.

Yeah, nothing to be ticked off about there.

Both features offer insight into the situation surrounding the 1948 conflict.
Though altered for dramatic effect, it covers the basics.

More recently, in fiscal year 2019, the US provided $3.8 billion in foreign military aid to Israel.
$11.51 per capita.
OH MY-Y-Y. The PAIN!
