No doubt plenty of people on the right were acting the same way after Obama won election in 2008 and again in 2012. They quite dearly feared the Marxism and confiscation of guns that were coming soon. Just another way why there isn't much difference between the Republican and Democrat parties. Same book but different chapters.

I saw no Republicans crying and walking around in disbelief when Obama won. After Bush, Obama had an easy victory, promising a less violent US in the middle east. We found out how wrong that was Democrat supporters, ie. the media were crying and screaming at the sky when Super Witch lost Republicans, not so much.

I thought Trump was nutty, but these crazed Democrats make Trump look sane, just like Obama's destruction in the middle east makes Trump look like the Dali Lama

No.

That didn't happen.

McCain, having failed to gain traction previously, was a weak, default candidate, i.e., it was his turn.

Palin was the "Hail Mary!" for a presidential bid that, aside from blocking Obama, lacked a compelling reason for existing.

When the votes were counted, Republicans were able to connect the dots between their uninspiring candidate and the loss of an election.
