I found what I did hear on TV - where she included the Atlantic article as her reasoning - to be curious at best, if not stupid. Finding baseless media attacks on McCain in 2008 wouldn't take much effort.

John McCain abandoned the woman that would have been his "war widow" when he came home and saw she had gotten in a car accident while he was a POW and she was raising their 3 children by herself.

This woman is the woman he abandoned her for.

Trump gets some good things done (from my point of view), challenges the swamp, & is anti-socialist, so I guess I should be grateful to have him.

I admired John McCain for his military service, but nothing more. He was playing both sides, his entire political career.
