When protests become violent, should police use force to protect both lives and property?

Percent of the following groups answering "yes" in this poll of North Carolinians:

Trump supporters in 2020 - 83%

voted Trump in 2016 - 79%

men - 66%

age 50 and over - 66%

white - 65%

Asian - 64%

all - 55%

Hispanic - 49%

age under 50 - 46%

women - 45%

Biden supporters in 2020 - 36%

voted Hillary in 2016 - 32%

black - 24%

A majority of Biden voters seem to oppose even this most basic of police roles.

About: SurveyUSA interviewed 750 state of North Carolina adults 09/10/2020 through 09/13/2020. This research was conducted online among a representative cross-section of North Carolina adults using sample provided by Lucid Holdings LLC of New Orleans. The pool of adult survey respondents was weighted to US Census targets for gender, age, race, education, and home-ownership in North Carolina.

Or we could be adults and have unfettered property rights so that individuals can defend their own life and property without the "assistance" of government goons.

Absolutely-it's their JOB! Lock and load.

Now-try asking the left if those protesting the killing of tiny humans should be stopped with force if they try to burn down an abortion mill.

No, the police should hand out lollypops and read Goodnight Moon and other childhood stories to the violent protestors because their mommies failed them.

WTF kind of "survey" is this?

My brother, an Afghan vet, 82nd airborne, who went Mass. NG. Had several people spit in his face while they were called up to protect the property of the people of MA...I'll let all of you, who frequent this forum decide what that means to you.
