Wow! That is one of the worst misapplication of statistics I have ever seen. But it starts with the assumption that because only 6% of death certificates listed only COVID, that means that 94% were caused by something else. Completely false! If the death certificate states COVID and pneumonia, in all likelihood that means they died of pneumonia caused by Covid-19.
Good grief people this post is about the left manipulating the COVID numbers. Yes if you don’t think they are taking advantage of this pandemic you are really naive!
Bet 100% of the people urging pfizer to delay requesting FDA approval on its vaccine are liberal.
Why would conservatives care one way or the other about a vaccine? They believe that the whole Covid-19 thing is a massive hoax. They don’t wear masks and they won’t be taking any vaccine. So why does it matter to conservatives if a vaccine is approved in October or December?
No matter what diseases the patient had, if Covid 19 caused the death it will be listed on the death certificate. Even a hospice patient.
For instance, immediate cause of death typically respiratory failure. Antecedent causes, Covid 19 with duration of say 1 week. Cancer of whatever organ, duration say 2 years.
The payment to the docs is no different, and is based on longevity, severity and complexity of the patients hospital course.
If Medicare, the hospitals gets a bonus, since they pay so poorly in the first place.
Yet statistics year over year show that an extra 200,000 people died in America above what would have been normally expected in the time frame.
