Why would conservatives care one way or the other about a vaccine? They believe that the whole Covid-19 thing is a massive hoax. They don’t wear masks and they won’t be taking any vaccine. So why does it matter to conservatives if a vaccine is approved in October or December?
Most of my coworkers are conservative. Maybe 60 of 200 have already have it. Most of cases since started wearing mask at work (I was the second case many months ago). All alive. All their family still alive.
Getting sick still sucks. We just had flu shots last week - most people at work get theirs, me included.
Those at high risk should be extra cautious and isolating.
Don't shut down the rest of the country for them.
Early on with the Pandemic the fatality rate was much higher than today. Large scale mitigation efforts, better medical treatments, and now many more younger and healthier people getting infected, all move to lower the overall fatality rate.
The fatality rate is only very severe for those aged, and those with a combination of serious pre-existing medical conditions. Just like from the start.
seems so simple, but we can't get everybody to come close to agreeing to it.
I don't understand how anyone with 2 brain cells can think that billion dollar corporations (only purpose is to make money) would torpedo their own business in order to make Trump ( guy who makes himself look bad) look bad.

Bet 100% of the people urging pfizer to delay requesting FDA approval on its vaccine are liberal.

If we were to have successful clinical trials finished - in what apparently will truly be record time - before the election ... so wait 2 months. The mere fact it got done, appears to work ... let the vulnerable & medical pros wait 2 months.
I mean, all Trump would have to say is "Next Tuesday you're going to vote. The Democrats are playing politics and demand we wait 2 months - maybe 60,000 dead. I'd like to get the frontline medical pros and our vulnerable seniors safe as soon as possible."
