Of course. The Obama administration had to lie and say it was nothing but a tax in order for the SCOTUS to not overturn it years ago. You can like or dislike Obamacare, but it doesn't change the fact that it's fundamentally unconstitutional and should be overturned.

I think Ocare being overturned by the court would be a nightmare for Republicans unless they had a replacement that could pass both houses.

So be it, I'm not concerned about who uses it to fool stupid people into supporting their party....those stupid people are most likely Democrats already, I care about it being the right thing to do.

It was unconstitutional to force people to buy a private product or pay a government penalty, so Obama’s original program should have been overturned in 2013 (or whenever it was). That said, since there is no longer a mandate, it might now be constitutional. It will be interesting to hear the opinion.

I absolutely do not but I will love Mitch McConnell having to answer for Kentucky and all the Obamacare beneficiaries there.

Social Security is (mostly) paid for by recipients. Disability is not (and the largest bunch getting that are in the South). But Medicare recipients only pay about a third of the benefits they receive. Medicare is mostly funded by those currently working and paying for the seniors that are sucking up the benefits. Talk about socialism! So by all means, let's end socialism in medical care and end Medicare at the same time as we pull Obamacare so there's no medical care handouts.

I think that's why Republicans brought it now back to the court since there is no longer a mandate it can be overturned as its not a tax or something.

Not sure the whole argument but it counters the reason Roberts saved it in 2011.

Social Security was the same situation, so they turned it into nothing more than a tax, which is why it's always at risk of collapsing due to lack of funding.

I don't think it'll be overturned, but I would fully support ending Social Security, phasing it out over 20 years or so. That said, I'm okay with them keeping it if that's what they want.....but that's not a reason to add even more unconstitutional programs that will be a burden to the American people.
