If the NYTimes has any of Trump's 1040 or other tax return information, and he didn't authorize that release of that information, then whoever secured that info, whoever transferred that info and whoever received that info are all in glaring violation of several federal laws, at the felony level.
That's a fact, and one Trump's attorneys will make as painful as they can.
I'm right on your heels:
Some will raise questions about publishing the president’s personal tax information. But the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the First Amendment allows the press to publish newsworthy information that was legally obtained by reporters even when those in power fight to keep it hidden. That powerful principle of the First Amendment applies here.
Except it isn't legal unless Donald Trump himself authorized the release of that info. Since I sincerely doubt Donald Trump authorized that release, the info was obtained ILLEGALLY, thus the SCOTUS's repeated rulings have no bearing on illegally obtained information.
An autit has nothing whatsoever to do with him releasing his returns, and the IRS made that plain in 2017.
What intelligent person would release a tax return under audit for the entire country to chime in on about how the IRS should decide? LOL at how ridiculous that is.
The IRS said he could release the return thats true. But, again who needed the IRS to tell them that. It's Trump's return he can release it whenever he wants to. He has always been clear that he is not releasing it while its being disputed by the IRS.
It's only the left leaning media that put the spin on it that he can't release it.
I mean come on did you really think if you want to go to your town center and hand out copies of your tax return you are prohibited by law from doing that under any circumstances other than littering?
You had two different prosecutors. One was investigating Hunter's employer and one did not. Guess which one Joe got canned, after he was told that Hunter was in a bad situation? And later bragged about how he got it done.
And, by the way, you replied to someone else who changed the subject without any complaint about the subject change, and then had the gaul to tell me so after I replied to you.
Let's just both agree to get off this subject for now.
Here’s the problem. The $750 is a headline item.
The $750 is meant to generate outrage. The real problem is that his taxes are likely legal and all of this is above board. What society are when Trump can deduct, itemize, whittle away, etc., virtually all income taxes relative to his net worth, when I make ~$90k in a regular job, pay many multiples of this in federal income taxes, and cannot shield myself.
He’s legally steering the system to his own benefit. The system is the problem, not necessarily Trump personally.
If you don't want to pay taxes, there are a lot of Dem voters living on welfare that could show you how it is done.
Anyone who qualifies for "welfare" earns too little to pay income taxes. You can avoid taxes just like they do if you want to try and get by on $10,000/year.
so where it the connection to Russia CNN promised was in those tax returns?
Oops. Wasn't any lol.
