How socialist of you.

Why not just get rid of ALL voting and let the party leaders pick our representatives? Would that make you happy?

"Black leaders want guns off the streets.", and what have these leaders done in the past several decades to achieve it?

chicago, balt., dc,etc. have been rife with killings by BLACKS ON BLACKS for DECADES.

"Trumpsters want the streets flooded with guns." Being you are NOT a "Trumpster", how do you know what we want. You NEVER asked ME or any of my friends.

Typical lefty though, they THINK they are so smart and make asinine claims PROVING they don't know what in the hell they are talking about!

"Black leaders want more funding for public schools" Some the HIGHEST cost per student is in dem controlled cities and also the WORST GPA's and graduation rates.

Lack of money is NOT the problem.

"Trumpsters are on a war path to defund public schools"

When you do the same thing over and over, do NOT expect a different outcome.

These charter school are producing HIGHER GPA"s and graduation rates then the public schools in the same city.

I thought you wanted these kids to get a BETTER education? Guess not. You are MORE concerned to defend and keep the status quo.

"Black leaders want more healthcare options."

What options do "black leaders" DON'T have that whites have?

It has been repeated over and over, NO WHERE in the Constitution does it say the gov't is required NOR obligated to PROVIDE health care to the people.

"Trumpsters want hard captialism healthcare that leaves the sick and needy out in favor of CEO profits."

B.S, and in addition there are just as many DEM CEO's as repubs.

"Black leaders want to rethink the criminal justice system and create alternative paths."

Black dems have been running these cities for DECADES, from mayors, city councils, etc. to police commissioners on down.

Dem govonors could have done anything they wanted. Why haven't they?

NOTHING has stopped them from doing anything they want. What "alternative paths" do you suggest?

" Trumpsters want 1960s style water hoses and billy bats to solve the problems."

When a boat is sinking the FIRST thing to do is PLUG the hole, NOT start bailing.

The rioting, arsons, looting and KILLINGS, etc, has to STOP BEFORE and conversations can start.

What is YOUR solution to STOP all the rioting, burning down stores and looting all the merchandise, and WORST OF ALL THE KILLINGS of MOSTLY BLACKS?

Where are all the black "leaders" you talk about NOT on the scene tryig to stop all the carnage?

Why aren't YOU there to stop it? All talk and NO action!

Black fragility and passive-aggressiveness on display. Anyone slightly interested in politics, voting, who their elected officials might be, have an interest in how a large, influential demographic votes. Black voters support one party over the other at a higher % than any other common demographic. Calling this issue an 'obsession' or 'none of your [white] business' makes no sense. imwo.

I think this thread is a great case study as to why blacks don't vote Republican.

Most black people (and yes I am one) don't think the Democrats OR Republicans are all that great. Our support for Democrats is mostly pragmatic. Democrats will at least "try" and woo us. We know it's mostly B.S., but again, they do what they can to court our vote.

Republicans as a whole aren't particularly interested in black voters because they don't need them. They lean on a shrinking older white base and will try to poach multi-generational "white" Latinos where they can. Blacks are heavily concentrated in solidly blue states (like New York) and southern deep red states (like Mississippi). No need to push for the black vote in MS since whites keep the state beet red. No need to push for the black vote in NY because you'll need to flip a ton of white voters as well.

The idea that "oh....the Republican party is so awesome...how come these blacks can't see that" is kind of silly when you think about it. If 45 million people feel a certain way, maybe it helps to dig into why. Just assuming they are 'brainwashed' is foolish and will stop the GOP from ever gaining this demographic. That requires self-examination and reflection and I'm not sure that's really a GOP strength.

If the Republicans want the black vote......they might consider:

Stronger support to re-allocate (same as "defund") police resources so that more money is spent helping police departments hire mental health and family welfare professionals. Cops shouldn't be handling every single type of 911 call because they aren't trained well for many non-violent situations.

If Affirmative Action is removed from college admissions........remove Legacy Admissions as well. If blacks and Latinos are put on equal footing, then rich white kids should as well.

Increase taxes on corporations and actually be the deficit/budget hawks they claim. Dems and Repubs both spend a ton of money but allocate the resources a little differently. The idea of "fiscal conservatism" is a lie. Both sides spend money like there's no tomorrow.

Decriminalizing marijuana possession (small amounts). Blacks and whites use drugs at the same rates yet blacks are far more likely to be arrested and sentenced for carrying weed. No reason to be soft on white meth users and prescription drug addicts while being extra tough on small-time weed users and dealers.

Increase access to voting. Finding ways to make voting harder undermines the GOP at every turn. You talk about "freedom" and "'Merica" but then create small roadblocks to voting (thank you Gov. Abbott). Voting should be easy and accessible to everyone. Voter fraud is exceedingly rare. Greg Abbott removing multiple ballot drop-off locations makes no sense, especially in Texas. You have multiple counties that are in excess of 1,500 square miles. That's an awful lot of land for one single ballot drop-off.

Support labor over owners. This is probably the crux of "Democrat vs. Republican." Frankly, I think both sides support ownership over labor but the Democrats will try to appease both sides (a little bit). GOP is pretty openly against supporting labor. Trickle down doesn't work. Our wealth has become increasingly concentrated in fewer hands. The average Republican thinks "dog eat dog, the strongest should win." Democrat thinks "this isn't good for anyone and takes us back to old Europe with nobles and serfs."

**The question shouldn't be "why don't blacks vote Republican"...........the question is "how can Republicans appeal to blacks?"** They have think tanks with people being paid millions to figure this out. It's there for them but again, you need self-reflection as a party. You can't assume everything is OK when the GOP has lost the popular vote in 4 of the last 5 elections. The country as a whole as shifted left but our election process and the way our country is setup has allowed Republicans to hold more power than they should given the numbers (land over people). Don't just think 'those people are brainwashed.' Maybe they see something you don't.

Bad idea. Corporations don't pay corporate taxes, their customers/clients do. I'll keep it simple so it's easy to understand...

No sales = no profits = no corporate income tax is paid.

Sales = profits = corporate income tax is paid out of sales revenues.

Corporate taxes are a hidden tax on the consumer that negatively impacts the poor the most. Why is that? Because the poor must spend all or almost all their money buying/renting their basic necessities (food, clothing, shelter, etc.). The same is not true of higher-income earners.

"Stronger support to re-allocate (same as "defund") police resources" a LOCAL issue from mostly dem run cities.

Why DON'T the dems do what you state?

"If Affirmative Action is removed" AA is both racist and sexist.

It goes against the Equal Rights bill.

"Republicans as a whole aren't particularly interested in black voters"

Repubs are FOR ALL voters WITHOUT regard to race or sex. We want to elect the best PERSON running regardless of race or sex.

"because they don't need them.", we need ALL voters

Way too many dems are hung up in "identity politics" instead of the best PERSON. PERIOD!

Ask them. I don’t live in the inner city. And I don’t know anything about poverty and violent crime.

But again, we do what we want. You’re not qualified to advise ANY of us.

I've provably spent more time in black ghettos then you have, and I'm white.

According to Michael Cohen, Trump allegedly said you're too stupid to vote for him. I never suggested you vote for Trump.

Roughly one in 10 black voters will vote for Trump. You may know one or two of those voters. If they admit voting for Trump, remember that per Biden, you can tell those people they ain't black.
